Filter question: anti-reflective coating?05 Jan 2005 07:40 GMT1
So I have a circular polarizer up on ebay and I just got a question:
"Does it have an anti-reflective coating on it?"
I don't know and the couple webpages that have anything on anti-reflective
coatings and polarizers only say it's a good thing to have though not
Shooting into the sun with a digital camera?05 Jan 2005 01:45 GMT44
I was taking a sunset photo with my Canon 10d recently, when someone stopped
me and asked whether I didn't know that shooting into the sun is bad for the
camera. I've always operated on the rule that if it doesn't hurt my eyes,
it's OK.

Hey everyone.
I'm 20 year old male from Canada. My photography addiction started out
not long ago, this summer, when my parents bought me a digital camera
for my birthday. The camera is a 3.2M Sony DSC-P32. A simple but good

D70 + Old Flash04 Jan 2005 15:36 GMT5
Does anyone know if it's possible to get a third party flash to work
with the D70 ? The flash is a Kalimar AFF with 4 pins at the base and 1
contact on the side ( in the rail ? ) bought originally for a Nikon EM.
I've tried about everything but the shutter release remains locked. ...

Nikon SB80004 Jan 2005 01:22 GMT1
I have a Nikon F100 & SB800 speedlight. Can anyone tell me how to switch the

Speedlight menu choices & I've tried setting the shutter speed to faster
then the normal sync (1/250) speed. I've also tried using ...

and I've been playing around with it all day. Now I'm looking for an easy
way to get them on a webpage (free for now, or a very low annual cost) so I
can send people there via a link. I already use ofoto and snapfish...but I'm
looking to create a webpage. I know very basic HTML ...
Lens cleaning suggestions03 Jan 2005 20:30 GMT9
Hello all and hope you are having or will have a happy new year.
I was wondering where or who do you go to take your lens to get it cleaned.
I'm tempted to clean the lens myself as there seems to be a couple hairs on
the inside elements that appear every once in a while depending ...
Use the same memory card in two different cameras?03 Jan 2005 20:22 GMT14
I am about to get a new camera.  I will continue using my old camera.
Both use the same memory card and batteries.
My question:  can I use the same card in both cameras, in the sense of
capturing images from both?  Or does each card need a dedicated camera
just sold my first picture03 Jan 2005 18:25 GMT5
So I just sold my first picture and I was asked how many pictures were
in the series and although I played it off well by saying, "I haven't
decided yet," I really need to know how photographers, especially
professional digital photographers decide on how many copies to print
