A quick note on a mistake in a post...05 Nov 2004 21:52 GMT3
The link should have been www.pinkflamingo.com, not
www.flamingobooks.com.  One is a great erotic bookstore.  One is a
Christian bookstore, uncertain of greatness--but uncertain only because
I've never checked them out.  They could be great.  Who is to say?

Buying new camera...Opinion please05 Nov 2004 16:59 GMT4
I have narrowed my choice down to the Minolta SLR Maxxum 50 35 mm or the
Minolta Freedom Zoom 150 35 mm.  Which one would give me the sharpest
picture?  TIA
Honest question about shooting female nudes...05 Nov 2004 13:57 GMT16
Hi all.  I have a pretty nice digital camera setup for a beginner--an
Olympus Camedia D-560 Zoom, and I plan on acquiring a Nikon FM-10 and a
nice wide angle and 80-300mm zoom lens and a cheap flash as soon as
funds permit. I also own a tripod and two 16MB xD cards.  Someday upon ...
Digital Image Printing05 Nov 2004 03:36 GMT11
Can anybody recommend a good quality digital image printing (ie: on
photographic paper) shop/agent?
- K-Mart in Broadway, Sydney, do a good job but take forever and make f'ups
(forget to print some) from time to time. They are a Kodak outlet.

I'm in South Africa and the price of a D70 is R15000,00 ( about $2500,00
) and on web sites in the US I've found them going for $900,00. I have a
contact in the US who is prepared to buy it on my behalf and send it
over but I just need to know this before giving him the go ahead  ...

To all digital dullards04 Nov 2004 00:06 GMT16
To all the digital dullards who want to know why I object to digital
imaging. I will keep this simple so that even you can understand. I oppose
DI because you oppose film. Well to be honest there is more to it than that
but I wouldn't waste my time trying to explain it to you. ...

How To Use A Canon 300 D for Infrared Photography03 Nov 2004 23:29 GMT5
Could anyone give me any hints on how to use my Canon 300D for
infrared photography.  I've read some stuff on how to do this, but I
would rather have advice from someone who has actually used a Canon
300D for infrared.  Does anyone know what would be the best filters to

Film Expiry Dates03 Nov 2004 14:59 GMT13
I've just come across a load of film (7 rolls in fact) of Fuji Superia
that have been knocking round for a while.
The expiry date on the carton is August 04, will they still be ok to use
or am I better off binning the lot?  If they are still going to be ok to

I am looking for a 35mm camera for my wife. Right now she has one of those
auto focus jobs. But the back cover hinge is about to break off. And I think
she wants to graduate to something that has a few more features. Can someone
recommend a camera or a website that will give me a ...
