Just (finally) got my November issue of the Creativity magazine, and
found a full-page (11*17) Kodak ad on page 15.  It sports a surfer
surfing, with some text including "Only film lets you shoot anywhere".
It's specifically an ad for their "Motion Picture Film" section, but I

My daughter is planning a 3 month trip to SE Asia in late December.

Nikon D70 Best price in NY ?15 Nov 2004 07:45 GMT8
I posted a message earlier about a family member living in NY being able
to buy a Nikon D70 for me and bring it out to South Africa at about two
thirds cheaper than the retail price here. He's just agreed to help me
out on this and asked where the best place was in NY to buy it.
tele-objective15 Nov 2004 05:58 GMT1
Question:
for extreme tele-objective what do you use? Next summer I want to make a
series of the green flash, sometimes seen at the last moment of the setting
sun. The disk of the full sun is 0.5 degrees or 10 mrad. The green flash is
which film scanner?15 Nov 2004 01:12 GMT1
Super Coolscan 5000 ED, or minolta DiMAGE Scan Elite 5400?
I'm looking for quality (of course), to make big (A1) prints but I also need
speed.  The quality and speed of the auto cleaning funtions of these
scanners is important, too.
Which is front/back on slides?15 Nov 2004 00:52 GMT9
Someone sent me some slides to scan. Which side is the "front", i.e. which

side with the date?  Don't laugh, I've never used slides. I've been doing
research on scanning them and will be back-lighting them ...

Beginner asking for some guidance14 Nov 2004 05:44 GMT8
I'm probably gonna ask a dumb question that has been asked a million
times.  And for that I am sorry.
Recently purchased a D70.  And have been playing around with it trying
to learn how the darn thing works.  But my photos really suck.  I am
