Has anyone used/adapted a hot-light softbox to a contractor's-style halogen worklight? I'd love to buy a Photoflex setup, but the budget of an amateur looking to try out hot lighting just doesn't allow that. I of course am not looking to create a safety hazard either.

/rant I have come to the conclusion that the US TV producers couldn't give a toss about skin tones. I have seen far too many orange faces on US TV shows. The colours are super-saturated beyond all realism. Nice effect maybe in some cases,

Can someone please point me to a good compariosn of following 7MP cameras: Canon S70 and Sony DSC-P150. I am looking for a 7MP with a large (2.5in) LCD as in Sony-DSCT1. Is there such a camera yet (Sony, Casio, Canon, ...)?

Anyone know of a chart I can download & print that is a quick reference to equivalent exposures in the same light? For instance; ASA 100 is F8 @ 1/8 second equals ASA 100 is F11 @ 1/4 second

I have recently lost my darkroom in the loft to a nice new conversion, the plus side is I have electricity, hot and cold running water etc, the bad news is I now have a Velux window in the roof. Could someone please suggest a method to make the window light proof

Have pentax zx-50 with sigma 28-105 zoom and 100-300 zoom. my problem is that the pictures i take are no better and sometimes worse that the ones my wife takes with her $50 olympus (non digital). i like clear as a bell pictures even if the picture is a dud. i keep getting the

I am thinking of buying a Sony TV that has a memory stick reader. Will it be able to read CF (Compact Flash) cards through some adapter? Or do I need to buy a memory stick camera now (other than using the video in, of course)?

I have been using a FujiFilm digital point-and-shoot after I look at them I find dots all over the pictures, big dots and some small. I've checked the lense but thats clean. does anyone have any idea? you can see one example at the following URL (154KB Photo)

I need to use the full 7 optical zoom on my Minolta Dimage 7i to get close enough to the airplanes. I noticed the fibration correction on the new camara's. Does that really help? How does that work? Soft or hardware? Regards

I have a few pictures from a recent holiday which would look really great if they were enlarged quite a bit. I was dissapointed when Boots told me the largest size they can do is 10"x12". Can anyone recommend somewhere in the UK that I can get them blown up bigger
