Softbox with contractor's lights?24 Nov 2004 18:25 GMT5
Has anyone used/adapted a hot-light softbox to a contractor's-style
halogen worklight? I'd love to buy a Photoflex setup, but the budget of
an amateur looking to try out hot lighting just doesn't allow that. I of
course am not looking to create a safety hazard either.
US Television shows and skin tones24 Nov 2004 12:54 GMT13

I have come to the conclusion that the US TV producers couldn't give a toss
about skin tones. I have seen far too many orange faces on US TV shows. The
colours are super-saturated beyond all realism. Nice effect maybe in some cases,

I am looking for a 7MP with a large (2.5in) LCD as in Sony-DSCT1. Is

Close-up photography22 Nov 2004 16:56 GMT4
I was wondering if anyone has any favorite close-up photography sites.
I've been taking some semi-close-up and a few extreme shots of some
unusual objects that I've collected over the years and I've been
looking for other sites with similar photos.

CF cards in memory stick reader?22 Nov 2004 08:50 GMT1
I am thinking of buying a Sony TV that has a memory stick reader. Will
it be able to read CF (Compact Flash) cards through some adapter? Or
do I need to buy a memory stick camera now (other than using the video
in, of course)?

Airplane spotting photography21 Nov 2004 18:29 GMT2
I need to use the full 7 optical zoom on my Minolta Dimage 7i to get close
enough to the airplanes. I noticed the fibration correction on the new
camara's. Does that really help? How does that work? Soft or hardware?

UK - photo enlargements20 Nov 2004 20:28 GMT3
I have a few pictures from a recent holiday which would look really great if
they were enlarged quite a bit. I was dissapointed when Boots told me the
largest size they can do is 10"x12".
Can anyone recommend somewhere in the UK that I can get them blown up bigger
