I, um, 'need' a Nikon D2x. However, before I can get one I must first
convince the ways and means committee that I need it. Any good arguments
that I can present in favor of that? :-)

Im an absolute begginer on the leica camera world, and i had some questions
if someone could give me a hand. I want to move to leica because i would

On the shutter speed dial, I noticed that the
midpoint number is colored red.  On my
Minolta X-700, the number 1/60 is
colored red.  On other cameras, 1/250

I need to send 4 sets of negatives to an address within the UK.  Now I know
I can use Royal Mail "Special Delivery" but should I send them insured up to
?2500 (max allowed) or ?250 plus cosequential loss insurance.  I would not

I am looking into ways of printing photographic images, namely aerial
photos, onto plastic. The plastic is 0.75mm high impact polystyrene. A
screen printer I know is not too keen - does anyone know know a
different method please, not necessarily DIY,

Can someone suggest a software that can let me upload photographs in
bulk, get pictures from camera, manage a web folder for pictures, let
everyone see the picture without registering for a site, and display
all images at full size on the website.

I wasn't quite sure where or who to ask this question.
My mum has an old Ensign Ful-Vue camera (approx 1940's). Does anyone have an
idea of what these are worth? I don't want it for any other purpose other
than I like old cameras but I'd like a realistic value.

Here you have some pics I took during a jazz concert (the players are
friends of mine).
I like hard light situations like this: there was almost NO LIGHT. The only
poor light was from some little spots on the players, with a black backdrop

Looking for a decent tripod for my Canon AE-1.
Any suggestions/comments/for sale items?

With film I can easily capture photos lit by streetlighting at say F4, with
ASA 400 from 4 sec to 1/4 sec.
How does digital stand up with such lighting.

I started taking pictures and subscribing to photo magazines in the mid
60's. I have lots of old magazines. Are these worth anything to anyone
before I take them to the dump?
