light if I leave the shutter open to long.
Photoshop for unde $100 is this for real?04 Sep 2004 07:33 GMT6
I have seen several sites offering Photoshop for under $100.
They say it is the full version. I looked on the Adobe site and it is close
to $700. What do you get from the sites offering it for $100?
Thanks
slide viewer software04 Sep 2004 07:16 GMT3
I'm looking for recommendations/reviews of software for viewing and managing
digital images. I want to view easily, rename batches, move files, rotate,
open graphics editor, rearrange on "lightbox", etc.
I'm currently using an old version of ACDSee. I like it but it's getting

Slides - Shutter Speed03 Sep 2004 18:28 GMT3
I am going to be taking slides of some small sculptures.  I will be
bracketing f-stops for each piece.  I have read conflicting advice on
shutter speed.  Do I adjust the shutter speed with each bracketed
f-stop or not?
What about it?03 Sep 2004 17:06 GMT1
I will post some pics only to know your opinions, after the macros (see my
post *first macros*, 9/1) this is the first *people* pic.
I love to take pics of faces, even in very low lighting conditions, natural
light, I mean.

inches, makes life easy when buying precut mats and ready frames. Can
someone tell me what an equivalent European size in cm is??

Newbie question: Photographing framed painting02 Sep 2004 22:55 GMT7
We need to photograph a painting for a portfolio. Removing it from the
frame is not an option.
I thought that the best approach was lots of diffused white light, slow
film and a polarizing filter.
Photoshop Techniques to correct exposure of a subject's face?02 Sep 2004 22:37 GMT4
I know that it is better to correctly expose and light a subject when taking the
photo, but is there any way to correct blown-out highlights on skin for an
existing photo? ie if half a persons face is shadowy and the other half a little
overexposed. The clone tool seems to work ok ...

which lens02 Sep 2004 20:48 GMT5
I want to make pics of the "green segment". That is the last second or 2
from the setting sun. Perhaps I could even capture the green ray, just after
the setting. Using a Minolta X700 a focal length of 3 or 4 m (a field of .4
x .6 degrees) would be appropriate. Even on a stable ...
