tips for photo locations in Dayton, Ohio31 Mar 2004 21:30 GMT3
I'll be visiting Dayton, Ohio, in April and was wondering of any recommended
photogenic locations near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. I've done the
airplane museum; can anyone think of anyplace else?
Thanks,
Night Time Concert Photography31 Mar 2004 19:45 GMT13
Hi everyone! Hope you can give a novice a bit of advice. I have the
Finepix S7000 which is fine for rattling off auto and macros shots but
I'm looking to experiment, specifically in night time and concert
photography.
Remote for Digital Rebel?31 Mar 2004 19:18 GMT2
What remote controllers are available for the Canon Digital Rebel, and what
are the differences between them?  Comments are welcome and appreciated,
because I can't make head or tails out of the information on Canon's own web
site about this subject.
Stopping up and down with tele and macro lenses31 Mar 2004 18:22 GMT1
Can someone advise me as to stopping up or down when using a telephoto
lense and a macro on an old Pentax 35mm camera?
Also if an independent exposure meter is used, how should the result
be interpreted if one is to use a tele or macro instead of a normal
Digital Photos of White Products + Background Color Suggestions?31 Mar 2004 14:03 GMT2
Hey everybody,
I am using the Magic Wand feature of Photoshop 7.0 to remove the
products from the backgrounds. I want a pure white background, and
once the pictures are on my computer, the background is gray. It has

A man threatens to throw himself off the top of a 3 storey building. What do
you do?
1. Use HP5 and 1/250th
2. Ignore him.

35mm perforated?31 Mar 2004 11:38 GMT8
Today I went to the local camera shop, and they had some imported Russian
Zenits.  Some of them said 35mm, and some said they take "35mm, perforated"
for film.  What's the difference?
Leica question31 Mar 2004 11:35 GMT1
This is perhaps a topic that has already been well-discussed, but as I can't
find any past threads relating to it, I'll ask it again.
I have always used Canon SLRs, particularly EOS 30 & 1v.  Without getting
into a long discussion on their pros and cons, all I will say is that I am
Tamron 200-50031 Mar 2004 10:02 GMT1
Do you know when this lens coming out? Is it still coming out in May?
I'm looking at Canon 100-400 and Sigma 50-500 lenses. Do any of you have a
hunch of how Tamron 200-500 compares the other two lenses?
Can you tell by looking at the specs at:

cheap photo paper31 Mar 2004 04:04 GMT7
I foolishly bought some off brand photo quality paper for my h/p printer and
it is the worst paper I have ever worked with. There is absolutely no
contrast and the blacks are dark gray at best. I print the same image on H/p
paper and the difference is startling.
accessory31 Mar 2004 01:07 GMT1
I would like to find, new or used, an accessory for my lens(es). It is the
attachment to view at 90 degrees instead of straight ahead. How is it
called, what makes/sizes are available, where can this be purchased  (in
North America)?
best printer for image quality?30 Mar 2004 23:34 GMT7
Am shopping for a new printer, primarily looking at photo printouts on
photo-paper, and was curious which printer type or printer model do you
think is best for good quality images, particularly for photographic
quality.
auto-cropping30 Mar 2004 22:06 GMT2
I have a bunch of old photos that I'd like to scan and I was wondering if
anyone knew of software that handles the following scenario:
When I do a scan, the software needs to recognize that there are 4 distinct
photos within 1 scan and auto-crop them and save them automatically as 4
