| Canon EOS 3000N | 28 Feb 2004 15:27 GMT | 2 |
New to SLR cameras, I recently purchased the above from Jessops, in the hope I might be able to take some interesting photographs. The camera arrived last Saturday; however, when I tried to load a film, it would not recognise it. It wound the film around the spool and counted 37, ...

| 1DS AF faster than D30/D60/300D/D10? | 27 Feb 2004 12:59 GMT | 1 |
Wondering whether the faster shutter speed in the Canon 1DS (and therefore the ever-so-tempting 1DS II) means that the 1DS has a faster and/or more accurate AF than lower-speed Canon digital SLRs? What is regarded as the 'best' or 'fastest' (I need fast) AF mechanism

| Canon D60 Motor Sport | 27 Feb 2004 00:46 GMT | 4 |
I've been having varying results using a D60 with Canon 400mm f4 IS lens - nice lens but the D60 seems to be struggling a bit with focus and lighting, especially on the faster shots. I've been using Sports mode only so far.

| Canon digital SLR 1.5x | 26 Feb 2004 22:56 GMT | 5 |
Something puzzles me - I keep reading that the lens conversion factor on some Canon SLRs of 1.5x (or thereabouts) means that a 300mm lens effectively becomes a 450mm lens and so on. I haven't noticed this on my D30 or D60.

I understand the factors that relate to depth of field in film cameras, but what control do you have in digitals? In purchasing one what feature(s) should I look for? My interest is in close up photos of orchids. Thanks, Grainger

| specialized Chroma key software | 24 Feb 2004 23:37 GMT | 1 |
1. What is the best chorma key software? I am looking for specialized software that replaces chroma key green backdrops with digital backgrounds. I don't want to spend 1 hour per picture doing some stupid procedure in Photoshop. I find that it doesn't remove the 'greenish tinge'. ...
