Digital Camera 4 or 5 mega pixel ??31 Jul 2003 19:01 GMT2
A 4 Mega Pixel digital camera cost about $450 for a 5 MP you have to
add around $120/150 is it worth it ?
I want to print very good quality photos 8 by 11 and does it make a

?? Regarding the NYI of Photography30 Jul 2003 19:04 GMT2
Just wondering if there are any persons presently taking the course through
the NYI or who have graduated.  If you fall into one of the groups I would
appreciate any feedback that you may have.  I am considering signing up but
want to know what I am getting into.  For personal ...
Old unused APS film30 Jul 2003 03:34 GMT2
I have some APS films that are still unused and still in their original
packaging, but whose expiry date (the date you have to get the film
processed by) was in January 2003.  Can I still use them?  What could happen
if I use them knowing that they're "outdated"?  Thanks a lot!
Feedback requested on quiet 35mm mirror design30 Jul 2003 02:20 GMT4
Hi, Folks--
A friend has patented a mirror system which he believes will radically
improve 35mm SLR camera noise and vibration problems. I'm not a mechanical
engineer but I do think the SLR continues to have potential on into the
digital darkroom?29 Jul 2003 09:34 GMT3
I have a film scanner, do i still need to develop the film myself?   Or i
can just send rolls to the store and scan them later?
Need to build your portfolio? I need photos for my album cover.28 Jul 2003 20:06 GMT1
I need photos for the cover of my new album.
I can't afford to pay, but can give you a credit on the album.
I live in London (UK) and can pay for your materials, films,
processing, etc.
Scanning a color photo28 Jul 2003 03:14 GMT6
Hi everyone - does anyone know the actual technical details of the
difference between a photo made directly by a digital camera and one
which instead is scanned from a color print? Along the same lines, I was
confused today when I read an article about a new digital camera which,
LS100027 Jul 2003 16:02 GMT1
I have an  LS1000 scanner that I am trying to use with an XP operating
system.  Nikon stopped supporting the LS1000 after OS '98.  Is there
any third party driver offered that will make my scanner useable?
Would greatly appreciate any help.  Can e-mail me at

I was wondering if there is a good site where I can buy old used stuff for
my older camera. The only site I know of is Henrys.com and I've already
tried there...

lense for a pentax p325 Jul 2003 18:02 GMT2
Hello.  I have been using my sister's Pentax P3 long enough  to teach myself
how to take some pretty decent pictures(a long time).  I am going to give it
back to her but I thought it would be nice if I could get a new lense for
her.  She already has a 1:3.5-4.5  28-85mm lense and a ...
Camera repair25 Jul 2003 16:12 GMT1
I own an old Canon AT 1 which has been shamefully mishandled (not by
me).
I would like to try some repair work without doing too much damage.
For these cameras repair manuals did exist. Does anybody know where to
New to the Group (Canon EOS Rebel 2000)25 Jul 2003 04:56 GMT2
I recently purchased a 80-200mm zoom lense for the subject camera.  It's a
wonderful lense, however, when I put it on my camera and go to adjust the
focus on it (and when it focuses automatically), it makes a small noise
that's a little hard to explain.  My other lense, (a 28-80mm) ...
