Enlarger types26 Feb 2010 13:42 GMT13
For the past year I've been using a Durst M370 B&W enlarger which I
believe is the condenser type and it seems to work well for me. Recently
I came by a Fujimotor colour enlarger which I believe is the diffuser
type. I've not got around to trying it out yet.
External optical Viewfinder17 Feb 2010 23:23 GMT5
Which fairly modestly priced, external (shoe mounted) optical viewfinder;
would the assembled photographers chose for themselves?   Thanks for any
advice.
reverse polarity , could 'fry' a digital .17 Feb 2010 23:21 GMT4
And now for a situation that could ' fry' a digital - anybody know
anything about a Courtenay Colorflash 100 Studio flash ? Is it reverse
polarity ? What is its voltage ?
It is a fabulous piece of British engineering in the Midlands  from
Camera setting for the moon17 Feb 2010 12:21 GMT66
Years back, in goode olde dayz of 35mm, I recall getting good shots at
1/60 (100 ISO film, not sure of the lens F# but wide open).
With a Pentax K200D, manual mode, I have just got a good shot

Being honest15 Feb 2010 00:58 GMT41
At least I have the honesty to state that I am not a Still

here for Michael so as to even up the odds.
Becoming a famous celeb photographer today13 Feb 2010 23:39 GMT8
No photographer has ever emerged out of Ireland as famous or as a
celeb , to the best of my knowledge !
Even  my lifelong friend ( since we were at school ) Roy Esmonde, who
has had almost all the Showbiz people in Ireland since the 60's as

Old film11 Feb 2010 15:47 GMT17
So we found three old 35mm films, that have been rewound and stuck into
their little plastic canisters.  Not sure how old they are, could be 5
years, could be 10 years, maybe even 12.  They're from a reasonable
quality P&S camera.
Simple P&S11 Feb 2010 14:44 GMT11
My mother wants a simple P&S for her "Introduction to photography" course.
Bearing in mind she's nearly 80, although a pretty switched on 80 (she
just switched to Windows 7 on her PC!), can anyone recommend something?
B&W film11 Feb 2010 14:02 GMT6
As I mention in another thread, I'm trying to standardise on two types
of 35mm B&W film. One will be APX 100 (or more likely the Rollei Retro
equivalent).
For the second film I need something in  400 ISO. I've been using Tri-x
My New Baby Is On The Way11 Feb 2010 12:56 GMT2
Finally bit the bullet,.mortgaged my soul, closed my eyes and ordered an

May have to light a cigar when it arrives :-)
Getting 12" x 12" (or therabouts) enprints from AGFA RAPID film.10 Feb 2010 22:10 GMT40
My negatives are AGFA RAPID, which is basically 35mm film, but with a
1:1 aspect ratio, so the negatives are 24mm x 24mm about.
Mostly the negatives are black & white. By and by, I'm wanting to end up
with several 12" x 12" enprints from the negatives.
Any tips on fair vintage portraits?10 Feb 2010 10:01 GMT2
Hello I am wondering if anyone has any ideas and would share. I am
thinking of taking vintage type portraits at our local fair this
year.  I need to find the software to hook up my camera to my laptop
for Nikon?  Also any tips on pricing? Any tips on where I could buy
Kenko DG Nikon AF Extension Tubes10 Feb 2010 09:38 GMT13
I've recently moved into the wonderful world of dSLR photography having
used a trusty fully manual Pentax MX since the early '80s, and I'm
having a bit of lens confusion...
I have a Nikon D300s with the new AF-S Nikkor 18-200mm G II lens, and I
