35mm Scanners22 Feb 2008 18:57 GMT4
I've been looking at  purchasing a scanner to digitise approximately 3,000
35mm slides, mostly non glass mounted but some still un-mounted in strips of
6.
I can't justify purchasing a new model right now so thought I would look on
Tablets21 Feb 2008 13:58 GMT4
I'm wondering if a tablet would pay off in retouching photos,
Obviously its really for graphics artists but do many of you use one
for removing faults?
Canon G920 Feb 2008 16:34 GMT5
I am looking to upgrade from my Fujifilm Finepix S5600.
I have read a few user reviews on the canon G9 and it looks like a nice
camera. I need something smaller, more compact that can be a little more
discreet than the FF.
How to add EXIF date from file-date19 Feb 2008 03:11 GMT1
I have a huge amount JPG photos WITHOUT EXIF date indo.
But it seens like the PS3 only uses EXIF date for sorting.
Så all images without EXIF date ends up in the current
year and month (like "FEB 2008" or "2008") when sorting.
Focus18 Feb 2008 13:33 GMT14
I seen a recent post on this group of a link to some wedding
photographs and was amazed at the quality of some of the photo's, what
caught my eye was one photo was in complete focus. The background and
foreground was focused, as a complete newbie to photography, could

Or is there really not much difference...or is there a third option.
(my last SLR was a Minolta X300)
And a good on-line place to buy?

What flash to get10 Feb 2008 22:57 GMT6
The camera I use is an old Olympus Trip 35. I might get something decent
later - I use a measuring tape to focus it. It has a PC socket and
f-stops. I'd like to get a flash for it so I can take decent photos in
my house -  diffused, bounced, off-camera flash so should I get
7dayshop.com05 Feb 2008 09:36 GMT18
Has anyone had any dealings with 7dayshop.com in the last couple of weeks?
I ordered something at the beginning of the month, I received a query about
the credit card used so updated the details. It quoted the order number etc
so genuine.
Taking photos for the new biometric passports05 Feb 2008 09:33 GMT8
Hi. I hope, my question is not off topic here. I want to know how I
could take photos for the new biometric passports. The photos must
meet strict requirements as defined by ICAO. Therefore I'm looking for
a program that is able to check if an existing photo (*.jpeg file or
Using cheap cameras04 Feb 2008 17:05 GMT7
I'm just wondering if anybody else here is into using cheap cameras.
I've got a Yunon YN 300, which is one of those cheap plastic cameras
that looks like an SLR.  Amazingly good results!  I've also got a cheap
flash with the make Ouyama.  £2 each off a market stall.  Got the ...
