Advice needed on buying a compact camera for a Canon EOS 5D owner31 Jan 2008 20:05 GMT5
Last year, I 'bit the bullet' and splashed out on a Canon EOS 5D
semi-pro model - on the basis that I didn't want to spend the next five
or ten years looking to upgrade cheaper DSLRs and losing money as I

Best value DSLR with one (superzoom) lens30 Jan 2008 20:40 GMT4
I know this is a very subjective question but I will ask it anyway...
I have owned film SLR cameras for around 30 years, which I use mainly
when travelling. I have taken around 6000 slides. Most recently I have
used Canon - first a 1000FN, more recently a 300V - with 28-200mm ...

A3 Printers24 Jan 2008 14:38 GMT15
I have been reading the thread about A3 printers having been happy with the

general printing and wondered if anyone had success with ...

disassemble it but stopped short of getting to the front lens, I
Using UV filter for lens protection19 Jan 2008 17:54 GMT13
I'll be taking delivery of a Canon 10-22mm in the next few days. This
will easily be the most expensive lens I own. I was wondering what
everyone thought of the practice of using a UV filter to protect the
lens? I know there may be a risk of vignetting at 10mm although I

Camera kit insurance15 Jan 2008 20:55 GMT1
I'm sure this will have been asked before so apologies.
Are there any recommendations for providers of photographic equipment
insurance? I have heard about a company/product called "Photoguard". Are
they any good or would it be worth getting covered under my home

What has happened to Daniel Rocha?11 Jan 2008 12:29 GMT11
Does anyone know what has happened to Daniel Rocha?
I looked forward to his weekly posting here in this group of his "Photo of
the Week" but haven't seen one posted in about 2 months.
It seemed there were others that looked forward to it also and made replies
