I was thinking of getting a spirit level to mount on top of my camera but then wondered if anyone made an audible one for photographic use. (There are audible spirit levels for other applications) MB

| Medium Format film expiry | 29 Oct 2007 20:13 GMT | 3 |
I've recently received a load of medium format film but it is due to expire at the end of this month. The person folks who sent it to me say it's been stored in a fridge and therefore if I keep it in the fridge it will last longer.

I might be asked to photograph a football match, does anyone know what sort of lens and shutter speeds I might need. It will be a daytime match so floodlights wont be a problem. Any other tips about position to shoot from would be much appreciated.

I'm new here and looking for a bit of advice. I'm more of a hill walker than photographer and I've been looking around for what I thought would be a common need: a rucksack of around 30 litres that has a separately accessible, secure and waterproof

| Replacement Batteries | 19 Oct 2007 17:47 GMT | 1 |
I have a Nikon D-80, and the battery is showing signs of being tired (will only charge to about 50%, as shown on the camera's meter). After trawling the web, it seems I can pay about £40 - £50 for a genuine Nikon EN-EL3e, or as little as £10 for a non-genuine item.

| Pentax K110D vs. K100D | 05 Oct 2007 19:59 GMT | 2 |
My wife is looking for a dSLR and as I have Pentax kit already, one of theirs seems a good bet. The K100D has this anti-shake technology which she prolly won't be interested in, preferring the 75g reduction in weight of the K110D.

| Photography for dummies - book recommendation? | 05 Oct 2007 18:07 GMT | 6 |
I am looking for a good but very basic book about digital photography, covering such basics as shutterspeed, exposure and ISO settings (how to decide on same depending on light conditions, and how to set them) and other pretty simple stuff one needs to get started properly with a
