Nearly every time I buy a mag, a leaflet for the Photographers Book Club

Canon EOS 400D & Nikon D40x : EOS EF lenses24 Jun 2007 11:51 GMT3

EOS400D and the D40x. From what I've read, I suspect the D40x just has
the edge.
I'm wondering whether I could usefully re-use my EOS lenses (EF

Municipal dump in Campina Grande (state of Paraíba, Brazil).   People
working in here deal with ,, recycling ". They pull out from the
garbage everything they can.  Paper, glass, metal.... Then they sell
it per kilo. They are paid  0,12 R$ ( 0,05 euro) per kilogram of

My new toy^Hol doesn't seem to set the orientation tag (or rather, sets it
to 1 regardless) so s/w which tries to set pictures the right way up has
nothing to go on. I can't find any way in the menus or manual to change
this: am I missing something or does the camera just not have ...
Home printing of photos - ink16 Jun 2007 18:26 GMT16
I hope this is not considered OT on this newsgroup.
I do a fair amount of family photos - simply because I like it, and
the rellies have come to rely on me for same.
As a result, I end up printing out quite a few photos for distribution
Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.016 Jun 2007 14:35 GMT4
I have just purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 after being told it would
open Raw files from a Nikon D40x, I have found that this information is
wrong, all I can get is a very small finger  nail?.
Is there any down load etc that can solve this problem, at this moment it

I've got a cheapy tripod which does me for most things and which is fine

Obviously weight and size are an issue here and I'm looking to buy a

nissin flash light06 Jun 2007 15:30 GMT5
Having researched suitable flash lights for my Canon Powershot G5
camera, I ended up buying a Nissin DI622 - a little more bang for 1/2

I have played around with it for a couple of days, it is heavy for the
Midsomer Murders04 Jun 2007 17:56 GMT5
I thought we might have a thread on last night's episode (4th. June) which
involved photography. Spot the errors, most cringeworthy moment, that sort
of thing. I have to go so I'll check back later. Have fun.
