Buying photo equipment on amazon.com30 May 2007 20:53 GMT12
I am just wondering whether anyone has experience in purchasing photo
equipment from amazon.com (note, the US, not the UK site)?
It looks awfully tempting, due to exchange rate and lower prices, and
I am just wondering whether there are pitfalls, such as massive

Well I asked here about the Sigma camera27 May 2007 03:04 GMT8
and as suggested I went and did some research. Not exactly liked, is it?
It seems an awful lot of money to pay for a camera that is basically not
very good at all!
So after a year of using my trusty Nikon D50, I'm now looking for
Panasonic Lumix Fz8 vs Fz5024 May 2007 09:47 GMT11
I went to a photo shop and take a look at both cameras. I checked the
Lumix brochure, in which the two camera's features are compared side
by side. I seem to notice that there are generally very small
differences between the two cameras. FZ50 is approx. 50% more
A couple of Canon DSLR questions22 May 2007 16:02 GMT6
I'm on the edge of getting a Canon EOS 440D and have just a few questions..
1. How many pictures can I expect on average to get out of the standard
battery?.
2. How many more if I go for the battery grip?
additional flash light compatible with Canon G5?21 May 2007 11:20 GMT6
I hope I am in the right place...
I bought a Canon G5 a few years back, and love it to bits, being a
total amateur who just likes to take a few pics without sweating too
much about the technicalities...
Min/Sony user group - new UK forum21 May 2007 00:32 GMT1
We have launched a public forum on the Photoclubalpha website as of
today. Usual phpBB2 registration process, a few silent users signed up
in the first few minutes, it will not be launched to our Photoworld
magazine readers until July but I hope to have a bit of 'content' on the
full frame Pentax DSLR?15 May 2007 08:37 GMT2
Ive been looking at websites to try and get an idea if it will happen.
Opinions seem to vary. Seems to me that sensors will get cheaper and
they will do it? The "K1" name slot is ready?
Photography Software Proposal - Looking for help14 May 2007 23:01 GMT4
Firstly, I don't want to be flamed for spamming, so I'll leave out URLs
unless somebody asks for them.
Anyway, here is the thing. I am the Chief Technical Officer of a small UK
based software company. At the moment, we have a couple of desktop

Analoge <> digital objective?11 May 2007 18:35 GMT3
I'm new here and have a question:  Is there a difference between an analoog
objective and a digital one?
I had Canon 350E with a Tamron 28/200 objective.
I treated myself to a Canon 350D (came with an 18/55 objective)

Photo restore Q10 May 2007 09:50 GMT3
Ive been asked to copy and possibly restore this photo
of a Cuban gent. There are creases in the paper, I don't
know how this was caused. The paper is obviously not the
resin coated type, being somewhere between 50-70 years
