Celebrity Photo Camera29 Apr 2007 22:22 GMT2
Hi all, I like many others no doubt, have been musing over the idea of
getting a really ood digital camera and trying my luck and celebrity
photo taking as a money making venture.
I have fairly good photography background and have had some decent

Has anyone had experiences with this company? I ordered an IR filter
from their web site three weeks ago. There was no indication on the
web site that it was a special order and nor was this mentioned in the
confirmation email so , having not received it after a few days, I

Hello to all fellow photo NG contributors,
Everyone has something to say about this tragedy, but eventually, words
begin to all run together until they lose some of their meaning.  Sometimes
a photo can express a thought or sentiment far more clearly, so this is my
30D for £60522 Apr 2007 21:16 GMT1
The 30D kit is going on Amazon for £605 at the moment - ordered mine
yesterday, hope it's not a mistake. I see they've all gone now, but
can still be ordered at the same price.

Dust on the CCD22 Apr 2007 15:12 GMT3
I would like to hear the opinions of this group on how to clean the sensor
of dust. Is this a job we must send away to be done, or can we do it
ourselves?
A local photographic shop sells a device for £50, which when spun produces

Archival capture of digital print19 Apr 2007 16:09 GMT5
We had a rare family party recently, and I have respectable digital images
of four generations of us.  I still have my full wet darkroom, and I'm now
wondering how best to capture an archival version of the family group.

Sigma cameras19 Apr 2007 10:00 GMT2
Anyone got an opinion?
Browsing the Microglobe site, I came across the Sigma brand body. It
looks to be a nicely spec'd piece of kit, and I was a little intrigued
by the seeming lack of any discussion anywhere about them.
Photo display easel ideas sought17 Apr 2007 16:43 GMT2
I am looking for, on behalf of my photography club, an easel of some
kind to put prints up on for a judge to see and make remarks about.
We have a home-brew 'thing' now but really want something a little more
'professional'.
DigitalRec on Ebay17 Apr 2007 08:28 GMT2
Have any of you purchased equipment from DigitalRec? The lenses they
sell come with a Mack warranty, is that any use to me in the uk? Are there
any pitfalls?
thanks
EOS400D - £400 now.15 Apr 2007 13:39 GMT18
Tesco, of all places, are currently doing the EOS 400D, with lens for
£400, and apparently, there is a £50 cash back from Canon when you send
in the form - looks to be quite a bargain if you are in the market for a
DSLR.

Canon cash-back offer07 Apr 2007 20:07 GMT10
Having read elsewhere about problems with cash-back offers in general and
Canon cash-back offers in particular (albeit in the States), does anyone
here have any experiences - good or bad - to share?
I'm thinking of buying a new Canon but I'd like to think I really am going
