How to generate "streaks" in night photography?19 Mar 2007 21:57 GMT14

at night, which show colorful streaks of the head/tail lamps of
vehicles running on them. Surely, these are results of special trick-
photography and not mere digital effects on a computer.
Jessops share price slumps on profits warning17 Mar 2007 10:51 GMT24
Earlier this week, Jessops warned investors that profits for the
current financial year would fall well short of targets, mainly due to
lower sales of digital cameras.
The share price dropped rapidly.  An idea of how rapidly is seen here:
Konica-Minolta scanners16 Mar 2007 22:38 GMT3
My Konica-Minolta Dimagescan IV has stopped working; the film transport

was bought second hand a year ago, so there is no warranty.
The assets of KM were taken over by Sony last year, so these scanners are

I have just had an email saying that beanpix will close down on 10th April
2007.
It seems that there is such a competitive marketplace out there and margins
so slim that it is difficult for many to survive and only those with deep

I'm after a rec for a website that is a clear, easy to follow
introduction to DSLR usage. I've been asked to point someone to such a
site, and Google is worse than useless.

Digital Camera for macro pic's of items going on Ebay?08 Mar 2007 14:39 GMT4
Hi all, I already have a Canon EOS 500 and a Polaroid pocket Digital
camera. I have tried everywhich way with the polaroid to get really
close pictures of the small items I sell on ebay such coins, trinkets,
watches, postcards etc.
Sony DSC - H1, H2, or H5?06 Mar 2007 18:13 GMT7
My old Fuji S602Zoom has been relegated to the missus, so its time for
a new camera for me. A pal has the H1 and raves about it so I looked
around at whether this would be a decent replacement. Crikey, theres a
*lot* of cameras about, innit?!
