My normal policy is to not insure my photo gear.  (Extensive collection

Usage varies from week to week.)
Others have advised that I should insure my gear.  Chose what looked like a

Nikon 18-200mm VR lens waiting times11 Dec 2006 19:49 GMT20
I ordered a Nikon 18-200mm VR lens from shopping4cameras.com, which
said it was "normally delivered within 28 days". However the 28 days
are now up, and I've been reading around about this lens's availability
and I fear I may have a much longer wait on my hands after all :(

sort out and file. Obviously I'll scan the better ones but I would like
store them so that they are reasonably accessible but stored in archive

White Balance01 Dec 2006 16:46 GMT1
I recently purchased a Hitachi HDC-831ER 8.1MPX Digital Camera. The problem
is, when I take a photo, the display on the LCD is very fuzzy with green
colourful blobs on it. Also, when I got back to look at the photograph, it
still remains with fuzzy green blobs. I've looked into ...
Canon digital advice sought01 Dec 2006 11:52 GMT13
I'm getting pressure to go digital, and was surprised to see that
most of the photos in this year's BBC Wildlife Photographer supplement
