Minolta Dynax 5 (film SLR) issue29 Sep 2006 20:46 GMT1
Hi: My two year old Minolta Dynax 5 film SLR has developed an annoying
fault. A blue bloom has appeared on the pentaprism, which makes the
centre of the viewfinder dark. (Photo images are unaffected.) I've taken
it to both Jessops and Campkins in Cambridge: Jessops suggested that ...

Hi all, thanks for the recent conversdations regarding a DSLR. OK I know
I didn't go with the accepted advice, but I'm very happy with the choice
I made.
Here are some of my first shots:
Legacy lens test.....28 Sep 2006 15:36 GMT16
OK, at the risk of more ridicule from Tony, I got my OM-4/3 adapter this

There are the following lenses used. Each shot was taken at the extreme

Thanks again to everyone for their advice in photographing reflections.
Where I work they have just started a bi-monthly photographic
competition and reflections was the theme for this month.
I still couldn't find any beautiful, well lit buildings reflected in

Lowepro advice needed24 Sep 2006 22:30 GMT2
I'm considering the Lowepro Rover AW II for use as a bag to carry my K100D,
PDA, chargers, etc and essential overnight equipment - washing kit, etc.
The Lowpro website gives dimensions for each compartment, but these are
internal.
Cheap film cameras, Pt. 2.22 Sep 2006 21:51 GMT3
After looking around for a few weeks (ebay, where else?), and lusting
after a few quality manual focus mid 80's cameras, sense reared its
head, and I went for an older Canon autofocus camera, so, if need be, I
can use my existing lenses.
A decision is made on the DSLR.22 Sep 2006 20:14 GMT41
I'd just like to thank all those that replied to my search for info on a
a DSLR. However, I'll probably be going with my first reaction, Olympus.
I have now managed to see the entry level SLRs in the flesh now, and
very quickly came to the conclusion. I have also done a lot more
EDINEX 1 CAMERA21 Sep 2006 00:05 GMT1
I have come into possesion of a vintage, Wirgin Edinex 1 Camera  It is
in absolutely superb condition for its' age. There are a few minor
blemishes on the body. It is clean and has no major signs of use.  The
shutter DOES NOT  work. At least I think it doesn't. Perhaps I've not
Picture frames for prints19 Sep 2006 13:44 GMT5
I'm about to buy from Photobox two 30" x 20" prints of shots taken with my
350D. Before I do, I want to know I'll be able to frame them. I live in the
back of beyond, so it needs to be a web/mail order purchase. Any
recommendations on suitable frame vendors? A quick google hasn't ...

Unless you really have a lot of time on your hands, I doubt you want
to go through the massive folder that contains your European vacation

Anyone bought Compact Flash off Ebay?12 Sep 2006 16:48 GMT5
I'm after a 4GB Sandisk Extreme III Compact Flash card which the
current going price seems to be around £130 to £140.
However, there are several of these on ebay going for less than half
of that. Many sellers look a bit dodgy (have made feedback private
