Recovering old photographs16 Mar 2006 13:21 GMT9
I'm in the process of scanning a lot of my mother's old photographs but the
last few are all glued into an old album.  At some point in the past the
album has got wet and the pages have wrinkled, causing the photos to wrinkle
as well as they're firmly glued down.

Sepia toning B+W.14 Mar 2006 00:03 GMT8
My mother wants me to do a few prints of my brothers wedding to hang
with some other B+W family photos she has.
These are all old, and have a natural sepia tint.
I'd like to sepia tint these B+W prints when I print them.
Busted Olympus C505013 Mar 2006 00:43 GMT5
My 30 month-old Olympus C5050 has just failed.  It was fine one day and the
next day it is behaving as if the lens cap is on all the time.  It was not
not dropped, bashed or subjected to any other sort of extremes. The
electronics are still working and it will still take (blank) ...

superclamp or plamp11 Mar 2006 06:13 GMT1
Im looking for something to hold reflectors and/or plants steady.
I was looking at buying a plamp but I'm not to impressed with the price of
the thing, so started to look for alternatives.
I found that a flexible extension is available for the Manfrotto Superclamp.
Help req : CF or Fuji XD09 Mar 2006 07:45 GMT12
I'm just about to buy a Fuji Finepix S9500 in the UK, but notice it will
take either compact flash cards or Fuji XD cards. Does anyone have any
experience of either of these formats, as my current Sony uses memory
sticks. Also - is there one of these formats which is more reliable ...
Critique web sites08 Mar 2006 23:14 GMT12
I'm thinking of joining one of those web sites where you can upload some
images and other people can offer comments on them.
I'd be interested to know of any other photographers experiences with
such sites, and which one(s) you'd recommend.
How to make my photos 'web sized' ?07 Mar 2006 23:33 GMT11
Don't want to send 'big' jpg files straight from my Canon. Wanna resize them
all to 800x600 before. Resizing one by one using image processing
application? it works for 1 or 3 photos but what about 100? Help!

books on digital photography07 Mar 2006 12:46 GMT3
I'm looking for a good book on digital photography. I'd like to (start
to) get an understanding of the what's going on in there, something
that would provide an introduction to the theory behind digiatal
photography - colours, balance, preparing for printing, the pitfalls of
Tripod recommendations03 Mar 2006 19:24 GMT6
I reckon it is time to purchase a replacement tripod. Mine is an
old Slik model made for an early Sony video camera in the early 1970s.
It is getting rather problematic and not holding my camera steady. I use
a Mamiya M645, Canon EOS 3 and a Canon EOS 10D with all lenses including
