Its a Minolta A200 and I'll need to get a Compact Flash card for it.
I'll probably go for a 1Gb card as prices seem to be falling but I'm

Autofocus25 Mar 2006 15:13 GMT4
Does the autofocus mechanism on digital cameras work bu using sound waves or
by calculating focus/sharpness via the CCD/detector?
I ask because I was wondering if it is possible to shoot pictures through
windows, say at birds sitting on trees, and suchlike.

Suitable camera?24 Mar 2006 11:08 GMT10
In the Summer my son (lucky so and so) will be off on a school trip to Costa
Rica for a month and will be 'out in the sticks' for most of the time.
Naturally we'd like to see lots of photos of the trip and I'm sure he'll
want to look back on the trip from the photos.
Digital black and white.23 Mar 2006 16:10 GMT15
I'm looking for some good info on black and white photography using
digital equipment. Do any digital cameras shoot B&W? If not, how do I
best capture an image before stripping the colour in PhotoShop - I can't
see the Zone System being much use... actually, I'm not sure about that.

I have a printer that will do borderless printing, I would like to print
some of my photos off, but in various sizes like A4, 10 x 8, 7 x 5 and 6 x 4
and so on, I would like a piece of software that will allow me to do this, I
don't need any thing else just a simple program that ...
Available on-line, but where on the high street?20 Mar 2006 15:47 GMT2
I've narrowed my choice of camera down to three. To make the final
decision I need to handle each one - there is no way I am going to
commit myself to a >£500 spending decision without at least handling and
trying out each model. The trouble is, I can't find a retailer with

I need to repair two of these.
The first is marked CANON ZOOM LENS EF 75-300mm 1:4-5.6 III
The zoom action has become stiff with use and I need to lubricate it. I'm
