just got a 350d today, and made the big mistake thinking that the body would
be backward compatible with the sigma lens i was using on my eos5. i keep
getting err 99 messages and the thing locks up. pretty sure its a
compatibility problem with sigma lenses, not very happy on two ...
Process-paid film09 Jan 2006 19:41 GMT6
I have just finished a Fuji Sensia film, dug out a process-paid envelope
envelope and found that the roll is not marked for process-paid. Obviously I
have mixed things up at some point but my question is whether a roll that is
not marked as process-paid can be processed? Normally ...
Water Damage08 Jan 2006 09:48 GMT2
I use an Olympia Camedia C-2 digital camera, which was recently accidentally
submerged in icy water (Long story). The camera was carefully dried out but
still fails to work.  Can anyone advise me whether something can be done or
if the camera is a write off?
Free picture programs07 Jan 2006 17:02 GMT2
Hi. Moving up from Kodak Imaging, I downloaded IrfanView. Much better to
look at and edit the odd digital picure I have on my PC. Nice thing, it
works with Win98SE I'm running.
Are there are any other good free picture programs that anyone can
Dynax/Maxxum 5D flash question06 Jan 2006 21:45 GMT2
I've just bought a Dynax 5D, having used a Dynax 5 for a few years, and
am absolutely thrilled with the quality and ease of use.
I have a question about flash. I've got a FS-1100 Flash Shoe Adapter,
but the 5D manual doesn't mention it, listing only five compatible flash
Web gallery page which auto-updates - possible?05 Jan 2006 20:06 GMT6
I want to create a web page on which a single image changes each day -
anyone know of a piece of code or an app which will allow me to upload a
selection of, say 30 images and then leave it to effect the daily changes
automatically?
Canon S2 IS or 300D/350D?05 Jan 2006 10:40 GMT5
I currently have a Canon EOS 300 (film) with several lenses and other
accessories. (Canon 28-90 USM, Tamron 80-210, Vivitar 500mm mirror T2,
Zenith 52mm M42, Cobra 400 dedicated flash.)
I am considering upgrading this to either a 300D or 350D. (I'd be happy

Is it really worth it getting a dedicated film scanner?03 Jan 2006 23:07 GMT5
Is a decent flatbed scanner, in most cases, quite suitable for scanning
negatives?
Any flatbed scanner recommendations?
Memory card fragmentation?03 Jan 2006 19:59 GMT3
Normal practice with mum's 8MP Konica and 1G CF card is to take "extra
fine" JPEGs, upload them to the computer and then "delete all files"
using the camera's menu. Once or twice we have used the computer to
delete files (Mac OSX). Very occasionally we'll delete a single file on

Digital photo printing02 Jan 2006 12:02 GMT6
As more and more people are taking up digital photography I notice there are
a large number of high street and on line sites offering to print your
pictures either from your card or from your internet transference.  Prices
seem to range from Tesco instant print at 40p a copy, ...

Critiques always welcome, particularly anything on how better to set the
gallery page up - I am no web designer and things are ...
