| Sony Memory Stick | 31 Dec 2005 15:23 GMT | 2 |
I am a digital photgraphy newbie and I quite fancy the Sony Cybershot DSC P200 but not too sure about the Sony proprietary Memory Stick. They seem a lot dearer than e.g. SD memory but I may put up with that if there are no other downsides.

| I do my best to buy local | 30 Dec 2005 20:18 GMT | 3 |
I've been pulling my hair out today in my attempts to spend cash at a local shop. In my town there are two (yes, 2!) Jessops stores, one each end of the town (with not much between). I've been toying with buying one of three cameras; a Sony DSC-P200, a Canon

| What film type? | 29 Dec 2005 11:18 GMT | 13 |
Dad had a 1960's Agfa camera. I'm looking at the prints from it, and the transparencies. The prints are square (well, very near square) approximately 3 ½" x 3½". What size of film was dad using? Thanks.

| What do I do getting digital images from negatives? | 29 Dec 2005 11:12 GMT | 12 |
Okay, I could buy a device for scanning negatives, but I've only got say about 400 negatives. So, I don't think buying a dedicated negative scanner is necessarily economic. Next, I could find a friend who has a scanner.

| How to pose a model? | 29 Dec 2005 01:19 GMT | 2 |
Does anyone have a recommendation for a good book (or maybe online tutorial, but I'd probably like a good meaty book also) on the basics of posing a model? I think I'm looking for formal and informal views. I'd love to take great photos of my wife, and she'd like me to take them,

| Digital camera with internal LCD viewfinder | 28 Dec 2005 22:30 GMT | 7 |
As LCD viewfinders are hard to see in sunlight, and optical viewfinders do not show what the camera makes of the scene, does anyone know of a camera with an internal LCD screen that is viewed via a lens like a normal optical one? It seems to me there is a marketing opportunity

| Digital Depth of Field | 28 Dec 2005 11:48 GMT | 1 |
I am looking at purchasing a Pentax Optio 60 digital camera - It looks to have the features I want at not much cost- One question though. In my days of 35mm photography, it was easy to isolate a subject through depth of field. The above camera has a manual option so will this be

| wide angle compact digital | 27 Dec 2005 17:37 GMT | 2 |
I'm after a digital compact with a 28mm -or better still 24 - (35mm equivilent) lens. Not too worried about optical zoom levels - 2 or 3 is fine. Lots of manual control needed and a decent built in flash allow difficult difficult light work. 4+meg is fine. Asking alot for a ...

And who lives within a reasonable distance of windsor? And who would be foolish enough to let me borrow it?

| Canon cash back offers | 23 Dec 2005 09:38 GMT | 13 |
I bought a 350d last week from cameras2u.com, Canon are offering £100 cash back if you buy the item with a mastercard, which I did. I order to claim the money back you have to send off your receipt clearly showing the item was paid for with a mastercard. The problem is, the ...

| Sigma 135--400/170-500 | 19 Dec 2005 18:21 GMT | 3 |
I recently part-exchanged my Canon 300 f4 as I had hardly used it along with some other kit to part finance my upgrade from 10D to 20D with 10-22. I now have: 20D

| Canon EF lens damaged | 15 Dec 2005 13:10 GMT | 2 |
I have a Canon EF 50mm F1.4 lens and there is sand in the front of it preventing the autofocus from working. Should I send it back to Canon UK for repair or an independent place? If independent, which one? Thanks a lot!

| Advice, please: Kittens | 14 Dec 2005 20:20 GMT | 9 |
This weekend, or soon after, I've been asked to take some pictures of some very lively kittens. I don't have a whole load of equipment, basically an EOS20D with built-in flash, tripod, and that's about it. I'm planning to get hold of some lights today, but since the photos will
