RAW conversion for Mac17 Sep 2005 19:26 GMT5
I'm looking for a raw converter for my shiny new mac - i've tried Camera
Raw Conversion 1.1 and dcRaw, but they don't give me the fine control and
live view I'm used to with Ufraw on Linux - any ideas?
Nikon 17-35 f2.8 makes whining noise...17 Sep 2005 15:34 GMT8
Anybody come across this before.  The lens is quiet enough on a short
adjustment of the AF, but if focussing from, say, close up to infinity
then I can hear a nasty whine.  It's especially pronounced when hunting
for focus and the motor is changing direction.  Only had it a month,
Photo printer comparison15 Sep 2005 08:28 GMT7
I'm considering buying a photo printer, either a Canon PIXMA iP 4000
(cost chf199) or a HP Photosmart 8150.
Which is better, on the criterion of pure colour and b&w photo quality,
used with coated photo paper?  I'm not bothered about print speed,

Photo Printer reviews11 Sep 2005 10:56 GMT10
Just buying a new PC and think my printer is also giving up the ghost (Epson
895) I either need to find a way to clean it thoroughly as it leaves streaks
all down the prints...or buy a new one.
Any ideas for either route, please? I use a Canon 10D and an S45. I tend to
EPSON R80010 Sep 2005 22:48 GMT3
Has anyone any long term experience using an Epson R800 printer ? I
purchased one several  months ago and initially had some excellent
results and was very satisfied with it. However,  I did not use it for
a period of about 4 weeks and now its print quality has degraded
Ilfospeed Multigrade 400HL enlarger head - what do I do with it?09 Sep 2005 18:36 GMT1
I bought one of these for not much at the local tip this morning. It
came without the control unit, but the head itself is in good condition.
It looks like an interesting upgrade or alternative to the single-bulb
point-source in my MPP enlarger. The Ilford has two dichroic ...
7DayShop09 Sep 2005 17:58 GMT6
Apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but I haven't found it.
Over the last couple of days I have tried to have a look at the Canon
lenses on the 7DayShop website. Before anyone says anything about them I
wasn't necessarily going to buy one from them, just doing some ...
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ5 - your opinion09 Sep 2005 13:04 GMT7
What do you think about the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ5?

I have an interesting collection of cameras which includes many of the
cheapo plastic Chinese ones.  I'm trying out some unusual combinations
with them including:

on line print ordering07 Sep 2005 19:39 GMT13
I decided to order some prints on-line today for the first time.
Usually I use Jessops for processing so tried them but after
registering I found that their system only works on Micro$oft Explorer
and I refuse to be forced to use that bloated hackers paradise. Next
Jessops price match is not true.....06 Sep 2005 22:28 GMT24
Just asked Jessops to match the Canon A95 price from 7dayshop and they
refused.
'We also don't match from Pixmania as well' a spokesman from Leicester said!
Looking for where to buy Prime-Lens for Canon EOS04 Sep 2005 11:27 GMT12
I find difficult to fine good addresses where to buy Prime Lenses for
Canon EOS.
Even Pixmania does not have all of them and seems quite expensive
compared to US prices.
