question about low-end digital camera20 Aug 2005 16:43 GMT23
I'm looking to buy a low-end digital camera (5m pixels) and wondered if
there was any considerable advantage in the size of LCD screen, as they
seem to range from around 1.4 to 2.5 in the models I'm interested in-
the smaller the cheaper, usually, all things being equal. I ...
Fujifinepix S700019 Aug 2005 22:24 GMT2
I used to own a Fujifilm MX700, which in 1999 was a bloody good camera at
1.5 mega pixels and as a point and shoot camera never failed to take an
excellent photo with brilliant colour both indoor on flash or outdoor,
(however most of the photos were of my girlfriend :-). I then ...

Is it possible to enlarge small photos without loosing the definition.
Every time I try to resize the photo it becomes pixelated and fuzzy.  I use
jasc Photoshop 8 usually.

Epson Stylus Photo R180019 Aug 2005 00:57 GMT1
I've just purchase the above printer and I am eager to ensure that I get the
best out of it. In the driver properties the colour management options are
"Color Controls", "PhotoEnhance" and "ICM". Which is the best to use? I
assume "Color Controls" and "Adobe RGB Color Mode", but I'm ...
Inkjet photo paper17 Aug 2005 07:24 GMT4
I'd like to print some large panoramas, but can't find a source for paper
in an appropriate size.  I'd like to print as large as possible, which on
my printer means 210mm (A4) wide.  I can foind 100mm wide roll paper, but
not larger
Photographing fireworks?16 Aug 2005 20:06 GMT2
I'm going to see the fireworks at Plymouth tonight
(http://www.bbc.co.uk/devon/content/articles/2005/07/07/fireworks_plymouth_featur

).
Can anybody give me some quick tips when taking pictures of fireworks? Apart
from taking a tripod and turning the flash off, of course!
Coolpix 4500 screwup16 Aug 2005 17:36 GMT1
I upgraded the firmware on my Coolpix 4500 from 1.2 to 1.3. All went
as per instructions which I followed to the letter and camera was Ok
initially though test photos were out of focus.  Now the camera will
not turn on and focus motor is making loud unhappy noises. I can only
USB Mass Storage Device (otherwise known as a camera)16 Aug 2005 12:12 GMT7
I've recently become the proud owner of an I-River H340 'multi-codec
jukebox', which has the rare if not unique ability to connect directly to a
camera to store its photos (without the need for a computer to get involved)
as well as play music, radio and store pictures. This only ...
best web homesite?15 Aug 2005 11:47 GMT2
I want a web site to do two things - (1) host my personal images of all
qualities and (2) host my better shots for sale as a freelance snapper.
I have looked at l;ife pics, smugmug, etc but I am at a loss as to which
might be the best for the semi-professional stuff.
quality photolinks....where do I find them?????13 Aug 2005 13:27 GMT6
Just had my new website going live: www.oostwestthijsbest.nl . Due to the
'Google-factor' it's now important to get some quality links, but I
discovered most of the websites containing photo-links are basically
junkyards. Just give them a link and you get one back, zero editing, ...
Leica R Modul and Epson R-D1 etc12 Aug 2005 17:07 GMT2
Having gathered that there was a brief altercation here about Leica
Digital Modul for R, Jonathan Eastland sent me the attached to quotem
which my browser wordwraps and pastes extremely badly. It's a bit
complicated, but the conclusion is that Leica have pitched the Modul to
colour aberration on 20D10 Aug 2005 18:51 GMT5
A friend of mine has just bought a Canon 20D (not sure what lens but I'm
guessing it's whatever zoom it's bundled with as standard) and is
concerned about some colour aberrations he is seeing.  Here are some
crops
Printing large panoramas?10 Aug 2005 00:16 GMT9
I want to buy a printer that is capable of printing large panoramas. By
that, I mean pictures that are wide than say A4/A3. Are there any inkjet
printers that can take rolls of paper? Can you buy inkjet paper in rolls?
Image quality is important as the intention is to frame the ...
Cropping images to print09 Aug 2005 23:27 GMT5
I'm trying to crop my images in photoshop to send online to be printed. I'm
looking at printing 7x5" but want to do some cropping first.
I'm using the ruler in photoshop but when resizing and cropping down to 7x5"
the picture looks like it looses all of its original quality (5mp).
