I'm about to buy a digital slr - max price £900. I dont have any
lenses so am starting from scratch. I'll be using the camera mainly

OK, I'm probably doing something that's been done lots of times but i'm
doing it basically as a programming exercise.
It's a script that produces watermarked images.
I've knocked up a quick demo here
Film recommendation?25 Jul 2005 23:56 GMT3
Could you please recommend a decent colour print film?  I have used
Kodak Gold 100 for years - I know it isn't necessarily rated by
enthusiasts - but companies like 7dayshop don't seem to be selling it
any more.

Dear all, HELP
Went to use my D70 today, after not using it for a few weeks and no

Konica Minolta A2 problem24 Jul 2005 22:48 GMT8
My daughter's Konica Minolta A2 is flashing 'battery too low' and won't
operate. It worked OK a week ago and the batteries have been recharged and
work OK on other cameras.
She's off on holiday first thing Monday to take some wildlife photographs in

Getting colours accurate in photoshop?23 Jul 2005 10:08 GMT3
I have been reading the thread on 'Which digital SLR' and was intrigued by
the discussion on skin tones.  When I was a teenager I was much better at
drawing than painting because I have slight colour vision problems (only
slight not red-green or anything dramatic) and this was ...
Best repairer for Canon EOS300N21 Jul 2005 21:11 GMT1
The neck strap broke & this SLR collided with a fence.  Obvious damage
to external flash shoe but main problem is unpredictability.
Sometimes it's possible to take a shot, the next minute it "hangs"
when the shutter release is pressed & needs to be switched off then on

£1 a roll! (if you buy 20).
You may see more questions like this from me (as in the type of questions
Tents20 Jul 2005 18:32 GMT1
Where would I find a reasonably-priced wee studio tent ?
I saw one in PC Pro of all places but it cost 50 quid for a small one.
I've not come across them before and thought it would be a cool present
for a friend but 50 quid is a bit steep!
