where to get Canon spares30 Jun 2005 22:25 GMT1
I purchased a second hand 20D that has seen a bit of wear
and tear. It's missing the bottom battery cover and therefore
won't power on without a bit of fiddling around.

Group FAQ?30 Jun 2005 20:06 GMT2
Just bought my first digital SLR and wanted to know if this group has an
FAQ. I've scanned the net and some of the newsgroup but can't seem to find
anything. Don't want to pester you with questions that have already been
answered!
Freelancing and the BFP30 Jun 2005 18:16 GMT1
I fancy trying my hand at flogging a few images...has anyone tried the BFP?
Are they useful to prospective freelance snappers or not?  By BFP I mean two
things really...the membership of the body per se and also of course the BFP
'course'.
Asistants and the minimum wage30 Jun 2005 15:37 GMT5
In a nutshell when I worked like this it was for peanuts but then it was the
norm.
Anyone know where we stand now with assistant pay given the minimum wage?

shoot over the 2400 RAW shots it would hold in ten days, or the what, 8000
Calendar Printing28 Jun 2005 01:10 GMT5
Can anyone suggest printers that might be suitable for a run of calendars?
I'm not looking for the sort of online service that will do a few calendars
for family and friends, I mean a commercial printer that will produce a
thousand (say) calendars of the sort you buy yourself each ...

Canon 20d and "err 99"26 Jun 2005 13:21 GMT5
Whats the latest thoughts on Err 99? Do we take the camera's back to the
shop for a change / service or do we live with it because it's endemic in
20Ds?

New to digital photography. 25 Jun 2005 11:52 GMT9
A simple and probably stupid question. Can I use the same type of
filters which I used with both black & white film and colour with a
digital camera? (Canon EOS 350D).
Thanks

Misc: old film24 Jun 2005 02:49 GMT6
I recently came across a box full of undeveloped film that must be at
*least* five years old.
Firstly, will the film be worth even developing?
Secondly, can anyone recommend a reasonable postal service for having

Its a digital image:

The full high res version is about three feet long.
Are there any labs would print that on continuous paper?
USC 2257 compliance20 Jun 2005 21:13 GMT4
I wondered if anyone has any thoughts on how this new US law affects UK
photographers. Even the tamest of nude photography seems to be covered by
this law.
How does this affect a UK photographer who hosts these types of photos on a
