I am in the process of deciding on which digital camera to buy. I have
previously used a point and shoot Fuji 28-130 35mm film camera. A year ago I
got a "Premier" badged 2mp digital point and shoot (38-100ish) . I have
found I am using the digital far more than the film because ...

I've been searching the web for a slide maker from my digitals for an
(amateur) presentation my wife wants to give at her art club.
Probably need 20-25 made, but they seem to be £3 each.
Any recommendations for a) quality, b) price (with adequate quality)?

I asked for advice a few months ago about photographing my brothers
wedding - I've always excused myself when asked to do weddings, but i
couldnt get out of this one.
So the 'big' day was last Saturday, and me being me, I finally sorted

Anyone got any experience of this lens?  I'm deciding between this one and
the sigma 100 - 300 f4 with a canon 20D.

Just got my first order back from Fotoserve.com. Very fast, quality
service. I can certainly recommend them, going by the digital file to
slide service I used.
(I have no conection with the company whatsoever.)

I have need for a compact camera and would be grateful for advice,
especially from established owners.

I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a film processing company in
south Liverpool that can develop 120 film.

In case anyone shooting RAW isn't already aware of it, the above free
program from www.pixmantec.com  is a real nifty piece of software. It claims
to be the fastest RAW converter on the market. And it's free! Incredible.

Called up Jessops this morning and they quoted my £694.99 for the 350D.
Asked about price matching and they said yes, as long as it was in
stock and a UK based site (i.e. not Pixmania). Hunted the web and:
Amazon: £645.99, no stock

I have today brought a Traveler DC 6300  6.3 pixels camera, from Aldi at £180.
Is this another make rebadged ?
Are the SD memory cards a standard item ?  there is a 128MB SD card with it.
Looking forward to find out how my first digital camera works.

Are there any differences (apartfrom he badge) between the 35d and the
Rebel XT?

Well the camera arrived, but the manuals are only in French, German and
Italian.
So I now have the hoy of downloading and printing 176 pages of the US Rebel
XT manual or paying ?15 for a copy of the book from Canon UK.
