*** Enlarger and other stuff for sale. ***19 Dec 2004 09:58 GMT1
Merry Xmas folks.
I've still got some used stuff for sale. Please have a look and see if
there's anything you want.
Otherwise I'm off to EBay.
dSLR optics question18 Dec 2004 02:48 GMT17
Because when using standard 35mm camera lenses with dSLR cameras one has to
factor the mag by c1.6 (because of the ccd size), but because the
photographer looks TTL, does this mean that what I see thru the lense and
what the CCD sees are different?  (Thinking about buying the ...
quick release tripod plates....16 Dec 2004 21:15 GMT7
can anyone recommend a reasonably cheap, but reasonably good (if that
indeed exists!) universal quick release tripod plate that will fit on a
manfrotto 719b (which has a built in head).
i s'pose i'm only think of spending £30 on 2 plates and the thing to fix
Which Canon EOS?16 Dec 2004 19:29 GMT12
I've foolishly been browsing on eBay and noticed AF SLR's can be had with
lenses for around the £100 mark. There's lots of different EOS models, and I
wondered which ones are a best buy 2nd hand wise. Or which models to avoid.
I'm also thinking that in the future I'll probably buy ...
Digital BLACK AND WHITE printing in the UK?14 Dec 2004 18:17 GMT3
Anyone know of a lab that will print B+W onto a genuine B+W paper from a
digital image?
Cheers,
Si.
film to digital conversion14 Dec 2004 17:46 GMT5
Of cameras, that is. Has anyone here heard of such a conversion of a camera.
I bought a Nikon F60 quite not too long ago. Now of course, I wish I had
held on until digital got good and cheap. (Actually, I needed the camera no
matter what.) I think that Fuji do a nice digital ...
EXIF14 Dec 2004 17:02 GMT4
Evening chaps,
Forgive me for being slightly off-topic, but I enjoyed the service so much
on previous occasions, I thought a return visit would be in order!
Essentially, I've some photos that were taken on my digital camera in 2002.
Sources for Portra14 Dec 2004 02:38 GMT5
I just went to the 7dayshop site to order some Kodak Portra and they seem
not to have it any longer - in fact, they don't seem to have much of
anything Kodak.
Now, I know lots of places I can get Portra from, but none of them is
Who has Perceptol in stock?13 Dec 2004 11:00 GMT4
Anyone know who in the UK may still have Ilford Perceptol in stock?

Hi All, 2 questions.
How much should the colour saturation and definition of print vary from the
slide (Velvia 50)? I had some shots printed recently and it looks like they
knocked the saturation down and added some blur..
Developing 35mm straight to CD11 Dec 2004 03:11 GMT21
Hullo,
I have recently got hold of an old 35mm SLR (gnarly old Zenit-E, but
it's free and for practicing on for the future) and I was wondering if
it was possible to get the film developed and then scanned onto CD
cheap (i.e sub ?100) digicam11 Dec 2004 03:01 GMT4
Looking to get a digicam for a friend
I know that <?100 doesnt buy much but it should serve there purposes (i.e
they currently use the one-use film cameras) as the currently only use on
holiday (P&S) and will print of pics no bigger than 6x4.
Duff OM2SP - worth anything for parts?10 Dec 2004 09:11 GMT1
My boys have broken the mechanism which opens the rear cover... I can
force it open but something is broken inside. The rest of the camera
works - except for the well-known OM2SP "issue" that all the time it
is not set to "B" it draws current (about 2.5mA) from the batteries,
Tricky Copyright question09 Dec 2004 16:45 GMT11
Looking for advice/input/suggestions. I've done a google search but I think
this scenario is not quite straight forward.
A few months ago, I sent a photo of a horse for sale to an equestrian
advertising website. I took the photo myself and sent it by email to the
