I've recently become the proud owner of a puppy, as above, but, being black
from his nose to the tip of his tail, he's proving difficult to snap.
Any suggestions as to conditions, exposures etc that might help to get more
than a black blob? I use a Fuji Finepix S3000 and have no ...

Any digital camera as good as Provia + Nikon 5000ED?08 Nov 2004 21:22 GMT16
Having scanned in about 3000 slides, and seen the results in both
130MB TIFFs and ~ 6MB JPEGs (no visible difference between the two), I
can't help thinking digital cameras have some way to go.
But then my experience is limited to the Nikon 5700. This is currently

Book recommendation02 Nov 2004 11:08 GMT1
Can anyone recommend a photography primer book for a reasonably bright 13
