I can teach anyone how to get what they want out of life21 Nov 2004 11:23 GMT1
"I can teach anyone how to get what they want out of life. The problem is I can't find anybody who can tell me what they want." -- Mark Twain "Today people in America can become whatever they want. Trouble is most don't know what they want." -- Earl Nightingale What do you want? ...
ME Super Sponge, worth replacing?20 Nov 2004 22:57 GMT5
I've got a Pentax ME Super which works perfectly, but the sponge has turned
to goo and sometimes light gets in.
The camera owes me nothing, and I also have a Pentax P50 which takes the same
lens mount, so it's not like I need to buy any new kit.

Leaf Shutter CLA19 Nov 2004 13:55 GMT1
Anyone got any suggestions on who is good / reasonably priced (or who
isn't!) for getting leaf shutters cleaned and adjusted in the UK?
I have a few that are now too slow at the slow speeds to feel like putting
up with much longer, and would like to get them adjusted back to spec.
DIY digital photos18 Nov 2004 22:40 GMT9
I know everyone's going to laff...but I just tried one of those
in store (Boots) photo machines, put my compact flash into the
socket, selected the photos I wanted, then had them printed.
I was expecting crap, don't know if I was lucky but the results
slr lenses18 Nov 2004 17:02 GMT6
I'm soon to upgrade my gear and I need to have a digital slr and also
a 35mm slr. I have a preference for olympus by the way.
Question is, which digital slr's share lenses with which 35mm slr's?
(save me having to buy 2 of each).

I am looking or a shop in Glasgow or Inverclyde that has the Panasonic

their websites.  Does anyone here know a shop that has it?

I know there are a few businessfolk out there amongst you who might like

Sony Cybershot DSCP92 problem: blurred photos16 Nov 2004 09:38 GMT2
I've had the above camera for ages. It's a 5 MP model, so I was expecting
good results.
Sometimes it takes crystal clear photos, and other times, it takes really
blurred poor quality photos.
Camera choice 250-300 GBP15 Nov 2004 21:44 GMT11
Trying to keep up with my daughter (owning a Dimage A2), but restricted to
a budget of half that size, I'm looking at a Fuji S5500 for 250 GBP.
Alternatives appear to be:
Minolta Z3 at 280;
Studio flash with digital camera15 Nov 2004 17:44 GMT11
Bit of a specialist one, this, I think. My C725 has no flash socket, so I
can use the built-in flash to trigger a studio flash, right? Wrong. Even
with the shutter speed on 1 sec, the studio flash doesn't register. Is there
some electronic gadget which stops the camera seeing a ...
the basics :)13 Nov 2004 13:10 GMT2
I suppose that I really should know this! Anyway, have just purchased a new
scanner and more out of interest than need started to use it's ability to
scan 35mm negatives. I had always scanned prints, but this machine came with
an attachment and last night I tried to figure out ...
Cokin stockist in Midlands?12 Nov 2004 23:00 GMT5
Anyone know of a shop which has a good stock of Cokin A filters?
One in the Midlands would be very convenient (I'm in Nottingham).
I have asked Cokin but their suggested stockist did not sell the A series.
Thanks,  Ian.
