Does anyone here own or have used this camera?
I'd appreciate your opinions on it before I part with hard-earned cash!
Thanks...
Advice wanted on digital compacts29 Nov 2004 10:20 GMT7
My ex-wife wants to get a digital compact camera for Christmas and is
thinking of paying about ?100.  She wants a simple camera that she can take
out when her SLR would be too big.  Lens quality and the ability to focus is
more important to her than features, software, or number of ...
JPG photo editor recommendations28 Nov 2004 13:44 GMT2
Rookie question.
I'm new to digital photography, and have just bought a Fuji A330 which
seems to do a great job at a very reasonable price.

old Olympus lenses for new digital SLR body?28 Nov 2004 09:23 GMT3
Does Olympus make any digital  SLR  camera that could take old  Olympus
Zuiko lenses from my  OM2n SLR?
I have a nice selection of these lenses and would love to use them on a
digital camera if possible.
Pentax istD and istDS difference?27 Nov 2004 22:21 GMT3
Hello, I am trying to work out why the DS is so much cheaper than the D.
I have looked at the Pentax web site and, to me anyway, nothing stands out.
Thank to anyone who can sort it out!
Regards.
Not allowed to photograph my daughter's 1st nativity play....27 Nov 2004 15:09 GMT40
The pre-school where she's at says that parents are not allowed to take
photos due to current UK Law.
Is this genuine ? Is there a way around it ?
Praktica BM Electronic27 Nov 2004 10:22 GMT2
I've just acquired a Praktica BM Electronic which seems to work fine
apart from the shutter speed control knob has come off.  It seems to
need some kind of screw to fix it back on.  Does anybody know where I
can get one from?
How much should I charge ?26 Nov 2004 22:08 GMT7
I have been approached by an insurance company to supply a picture for their
policy documents and forms. They expect a print run of about 10,000 a year.
Any idea how much I should be charging for this ? They are UK Based.
Recommendations for building a website to sell photos?26 Nov 2004 16:53 GMT10
I want to set up a small website to sell photos for a friend.  Whilst
I've done a little HTML, including using Dreamweaver, I've never done
anything particularly complex, and certainly not anything with
e-commerce.  My friend is even less experienced with building websites.
LED lights for filmmaking24 Nov 2004 18:55 GMT76
I recently saw an advert for some LED lights for filmmaking.  They looked
perfect - very efficient, flicker-free, dimable from 0-100% etc.  The
problem is that they're extortionately priced.  So now I want to make my own
LED lights for use on film...
Digital picture monitor calibration & printing  problems24 Nov 2004 16:57 GMT7
I'm using a Canon 300D and Canon CP220 dye sub printer.
On the camera screen I'm happy with my exposures and these when viewed on my
PC are always too dark.
If I adjust these  to view on my monitor and then print, then  these images
Model Release Forms at sprting events24 Nov 2004 09:08 GMT1
Are they necessary ? I plan on photographing a world class waterskiing
event, and then sellin the images to magazines/newspapers/skiers
/fans/sponsors afterwards....
Do I need each skier to sign a form ? Do they need paying?
Copyright etc23 Nov 2004 18:57 GMT47
Could anyone please tell me in simple terms whether a photographer who
takes a photo of a person in a public place has the copyright of the
photograph and the right to publish the photograph.
In this case the subject, who was one of a group engaged in an
Lake District Locations22 Nov 2004 18:31 GMT7
I've booked a cottage for four days in Keswick and was wondering if anyone
could point me to some good locations to take some landscape photographs.
Thanks

I have subscribed for the past year to Total Digital Photography for
general interest articles on available kit as well as the technique
articles which enhance my use of Photoshop.  A year ago it was the best
I could find (or at least suited me best) but now that they have ...
