Digital - ?300 budget - Any thoughts?30 Oct 2004 22:10 GMT23
I am looking for a digital camera with a large optical zoom (8x plus) to
take hillwalking and on a safari holiday.  Options to point and shoot (for
the wife) and manual options for me to play about with and a fairly robust
build quality are required.  Needless to say it has to ...

Something bad happened today.....
I put my XD card in to my camera (olympus c765) and it said 'no card'. so i
went to open the door to the card and it decided that there was a card in
it. All is fine, went along on my way and took about 70picures.

manfrotto tripod question25 Oct 2004 18:54 GMT5
I've got a manfrotto 058 tripod.  At the top end of each leg it has a
threaded hole about 1/2 inch diameter (this is a guess - I haven't
measured them).  Does anyone know what these are for?  I think all the
big Manfrottos have them - don't know about the smaller ones.  Someone

Canon 300D - Advice on Low Light Conditions22 Oct 2004 12:44 GMT5
I need some advice on the best setup to use when shooting in low light

I can't use flash, I've read the manual and to be honest I'm lost.
Has anyone had any success using the 300D in low light. If so can you give
Possibly defunct Pentax ME Super22 Oct 2004 07:44 GMT7
I've just picked up a Pentax ME Super in a charity shop. It appears
dead. The shutter release doesn't do anything although from the tension
in the wind-on lever it appears the shutter is cocked. When I opened the
back the vertical shutter blades are visible, in the closed ...
