Where are the S/H Canon EF primes ?12 Sep 2004 03:12 GMT12
Is it just me or is there a shortage of primes for the Canon EOS bodies?  A
year ago, I bought a 20 f2.8 just before the (new) prices fell slightly.
Since then all I've seen offered have been zooms.  OK, I've got a fair
range, but there's still a few holes to fill.
Film scanner recomendations11 Sep 2004 03:00 GMT26
Can anyone help advise what makes and models of film scanner I should
consider buying?
I'd like a model which can handle 35mm & APS, and 35mm slides if possible.
Also, one which can be left to scan an entire length of film in a batch mode

Hi Group,
Looking for a bit of advice, perhaps someone may be able to help me.
I have a Nikon F80 and have just acquired a battery pack for it, you know,
the type that fastens under the camera with two contacts that fit up into

Is there a cheaper way of doing this than Flashtrax, etc.? Don't want to
take the laptop to Photokina unless I have to. Ta.
Canon UK service delays06 Sep 2004 14:36 GMT1
Anyone know how to get management attention on Canon UK's service
department performance?
Apparently (I discovered after 16 mins on hold) they are only now looking
at repairs received over a month ago - so anything sent later than that has

A Good D70 Kit deal03 Sep 2004 18:35 GMT4
Just thought I would share my joy with you on my recent aquisition.
As the D70 SLR is a hard carrot to find in the UK at the moment I serched
for a good far eastern trader and found one.
This is what I got:
pixmania02 Sep 2004 14:38 GMT17
I am about ready to buy the Canon Digital Ixus 500 and will probably go with
Pixmania. My reasons are (1) the price of course, (2) they give an extra
years warranty.
I have not used them before, so before I part with my hard earned, does
The Pro Centre, London02 Sep 2004 11:06 GMT2
Anyone buy any used equipment from them?
They have some really, really good prices on used Hasselblad gear, but don't
specify condition.
Why 300d rather than 10d (or replacements)?01 Sep 2004 22:44 GMT7
Around Xmas I'm going to buy a 300d or something like it.  I'd rather use
Canon than Nikon and I'm not sure why the 300d is a better bet that the 10d
(or their respective replacements.  Any helpful suggestions?

4 ring binder protector sheets01 Sep 2004 10:46 GMT1
I'm in the states and I'm having a custom portfolio made. I would have gone
for the standard multi ring binder but I need for it to hold more than they
can. Multi rings only come in a one inch diameter so the other option was a
basic 3 ring or the European 4 ring... Ok now that I ...
