Can anybody please help, does anybody know of some decent free software, which can burn jpegs to CD, to play on DVD player, I have tried some of the free ones but have been limited to how many jpegs I can burn onto the CD, or they don't work correctly.

Might not be worth the effort but is there anywhere that does developing 35mm without printing, ideally on CD or even just negatives ? All I can see for CD are places that do it in addition to prints. I do have a digital camera but I've recently inherited a full SLR setup

Does anyone know of (mail-order/internet) company that sells off-the-shelf frames that are actually the right size for full frame enlargements (e.g. 12" x 18" with a 2" border). My local frame shop closest is 12" x 16" or 16" x 20", both really not

I would love to get hold of a USB 35mm slide viewer. (combination of a slide viewer and a webcam?) Does anyone know if these exist? I am looking to view on screen and take a quick low res snap of 4,500 slides so that I can decide which to feed through my slide scanner.

In my photo club, every so often (surprisingly often) a slide goes up with a thin dark line across the horizontal, about 2/3rds up the slide. Everyone groans - "oh, a Fuji line."

I've just noticed (via pircerunner) that the current price of the Pentax *ist is about 250 pounds, which seems pretty amazing value, even allowing for the stupid name. A quick search turns up the facts that it has no depth of field preview
