Buying lens from 7dayshop?29 Jun 2004 01:38 GMT2
Has anyone bought any lenses from 7dayshop.com? I'm interested in
purchasing a Canon 100mm macro lens from them as it is much cheaper than
buying in the uk (£319 vs £475 from Jessops)
I'm wondering whether I would be likely to be hit with a customs charge,
Bonusprint  and Spielmann are quite disappointing... terrible...28 Jun 2004 13:54 GMT21
I've tried a few so far.
The best by far was the local jessops - the camera was a minox GT-S.
Breathtakingly beautiful prints. Can't imagine a better lab result or
a better camera performance. All shots came out nicely.  Even a simple

blotches and flecks24 Jun 2004 21:37 GMT4
Hello, can any one tell me that when I view other peoples photos on some of the
photography sites, that a lot of the pictures look Ok thumbnail size, and when
I click on them to view them full size, they either look as if the colours have
run in a poor water colour painting, or they ...
Best general purpose lens to go with 300D?24 Jun 2004 11:30 GMT13
I am becoming fed-up waiting for the Nikon D70 to come into stock, so
working on the theory that it is better to spend money on a good lens
- what lens might be worth teaming up with a Canon 300D? The body can
be got for around 450 ukp now (and there's no shortage of stock!) So
Looking for slide scanner ?100ish23 Jun 2004 22:41 GMT11
I'm looking to digitize some slides onto my computer for hopefully
around £100.
So far the only real option seems to be the jessops PRIMEFILM FILM
SCANNER 1800U for £99. I have read several reviews that have said it's
least expensive medium format in the UK23 Jun 2004 21:28 GMT4
okay, two questions, (total newbie to the medium format)
1. cheapest place to buy 120mm from... is it 7dayshop? and what's this
thing some people do about buying film in loooooooooooooooong rolls?
how do i cut it and load it?
Truprint film... any good?22 Jun 2004 19:01 GMT18
I just used the truprint £0.99 service and, though not impressive
prints, is very satisfactory considering its price and I'm delighted
that i have this option to practice film photography, which i find
more enjoyable than digital, without spending much.

Hello Everyone, I am new to this group so my apologies if I am asking a
question which I should be asking somewhere else.
Your help would be most appreciated.

Epson Photo printers?21 Jun 2004 10:17 GMT3
I have an Epson photo 870 printer (A4, 5 colour+blk).  It can provide very
good results, but some of the nozzles block if I go for a spell without
using it, also and more annoyingly when I use the nozzle clean function a
number of times, black ink can flood the paper rollers leaving ...
Clear plastic sleeves- where?20 Jun 2004 11:09 GMT2
I am entering a competition that stipulates two major conditions as to the
condition of the submitted prints- firstly that they be somewhere between
16x12" and 40x30", and secondly that they be submitted in clear protective
sleeves. I don't have a problem with the print sizes, ...
Help Re Kodak CX421019 Jun 2004 18:18 GMT1
I recently bought one of these second hand.  It was working fine
but then the battery ran out.
I've now tried it with two Lithium CR-V3 batteries (Duracell) and what
happens is that I put the batteries in for the first time, the green
