Photographing dogs10 May 2004 09:46 GMT16
Tomorrow I am photographing a dog-show.
It's just a local, informal show which should be lots of fun - so I'm not
expecting it to be a high-pressure affair - but I'd like to do the best job
I can.
Delta 320009 May 2004 09:50 GMT4
I'm trying out the Ilford Delta 3200, haven't used B&W for
years. (shame on me)
Can anyone recommend a lab for process and contact print ?

EOS 5 vs EOS 3?09 May 2004 08:34 GMT5
I'm thinking of getting an EOS3 and lenses to replace my Pentax MX, but
noticed a lot of SH bargains on EOS5s
How do they compare?  I am intersted in the EOS 3 mainly for its toughness
and longevity but something a little lighter would be nice, and I could put
B&W digital printing08 May 2004 22:38 GMT1
Learnt that by printing using black ink only vastly improves the
quality of my b&w  prints. Thinking about having a dedicated printer,
just for my B&W work. Any advise on inks and printers would be greatly
appreciated.
Slide Film - for landscapes and plants -   Kodak, Agfa, Konica?  any thoughts please07 May 2004 18:29 GMT1
I've recently come back to photography after a while away.   I mostly take
slides of landscapes and close-ups of plants, and find with various Fuji
films I've tried that the colours are vastly over the top, greens especially
are dreadful when compared to the actual foliage.
Photobox.co.uk - any good?06 May 2004 21:58 GMT7
I'm thinking of selling some photos using:
http://www.photobox.co.uk
has anyone got any comments on them, good or bad?
Any UK equivalents I should investigate?
Frames06 May 2004 18:27 GMT2
Looking for a few simple black frames in both square (say 50cm) and
rectangular (A3) shapes. I'd prefer online retailers- Ikea have some that
are ideal but the nearest branch is beyond my reach.
Thanks
Canon 50mm Mark 1 lens - the metal mount one06 May 2004 16:23 GMT4
Anybody give me an idea what the older 50mm EF Mark 1 Canon lens trades for
second hand?

Canon 300D06 May 2004 10:21 GMT17
Anyone bought this on E-Bay? They're sent from overseas, but have a 3 year
warrenty from the Mack place. Prices are around ?200 cheaper than UK prices.
Just wondering if anyone has good/bad experiences.
Archiving of digital media - a question from Australia....05 May 2004 13:00 GMT6
no not another question about digital wallets....
I am travelling in the UK for a few weeks and rather than go down the
digital wallet path, i have been thinking about just getting my flash cards
burned to CD at a photo store (Jessops ?) and was wondering if anyone has
Kodak DX649004 May 2004 23:36 GMT5
Anyone got any experience of this item? If so I'd
appreciate any views - particularly any down points.
Thanks
Scanner settings for prints?04 May 2004 23:12 GMT6
Please excuse this post if it seems a bit "How long is a piece of string".
I need to scan a fair number of prints (for a funeral, unfortunately) using an
HP 1205 "all in one" (superb value, as an aside: probably the most useful
computer peripheral I have ever bought). I understand ...
modifying photos of people04 May 2004 22:18 GMT2
I'm trying to hack a few photos to put my friends head on other peoples
bodies seamlessly.
(It's for a best mans speech - He's the groom :-)  )
I've tried photoshop5, but the colour balance makes the modification
dpi vs pixels?04 May 2004 17:07 GMT2
I am new to digital photography. I have a Canon A80 and really like
it. I've taken some nice photos and am thinking of submitting them to
our local newspaper (they ask for amateur photos of local interest).
The guidelines say to send digital photos of '300 dpi' but what does
