Wild flower photography15 May 2004 11:23 GMT5
I'm trying to make a photographic record of all the wild flowers which
grow in West Cornwall, UK. I'm in my second year and have pictures of
over 200 species in different stages of development. 1200 species of
flowering plant grow wild in Western Europe so I must be a lot short ...
IXUS v314 May 2004 20:46 GMT2
Can anybody let me in on the secret to setup the IXUS v3 for time
delay shooting?  I've tried the long shutter mode but that i believe
is for underexposed subjects.
Any help would be great and I say thanks in advance...

Where can I get a slide wallet for ~100 slides?14 May 2004 18:14 GMT5
Some years ago, I received as a freebie a slide wallet for 100 slides.
Closed it measured about 12" x 5"; the slide 'pages' (5x2 slides per
'page') were fan-folded inside it. Whole thing closes inside a black
outer with Velcro tabs.

Panoramic frames...12 May 2004 21:54 GMT2
I'm looking to buy frames roughly of the size 1.2m * 50 cm or slightly
larger in a quantity of 5 - 10 at a time. Are there any cheap online sources
anywhere ? The places I've tried will only sell in large quantities because
of the unusual size.

Cosmetic condition isn't really important as long as the internals are clean
and functional.
Flash lead for Canon12 May 2004 09:55 GMT11
I would like to position my external flash a little way from my Canon
EOS while still having it linked for TTL purposes. I see Jessops do a
lead for this priced at £29.99. This seems a lot of money for a short
lead with two hot-shoe connectors on it, is it a fair price or can I
Processor12 May 2004 01:14 GMT4
I don't want anything special but a colour developing/printing service
better than much of what is on the high street while still being
sensibly priced.
Which mail-order companies do people use ? Or which of any high street
advice please!11 May 2004 15:49 GMT6

Hood designation - Canon 50mm f/1.8 Mk111 May 2004 15:12 GMT5
I've been wading through websites and am getting ambiguous answers.
Can anyone tell me the correct Canon lens hood for the older [original and
now discontinued] EF Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens - often known as the Mark One -
to distinguish it from the Mk II, the current f/1.8 model?
Is this a camera fault at wide angle?11 May 2004 09:49 GMT8
I have a new Pentax Optio S4 and have just taken it out in anger for the
first time. I wonder if the experts on this group would give me an opinion
on something.
Shooting down at Lulworth Cove down in Dorset I've noticed that all my shots
Buying on eBay10 May 2004 21:51 GMT3
Has anyone bought new cameras from the US sellers on eBay? Did you have to
pay VAT? What kind of problems did you encounter? How did the total price
compare to buying from regular UK dealers?
TIA!
Peak imaging or pro lab?10 May 2004 20:57 GMT11
I want some 20x16 prints done from 6x7 velvia transparancies, the
quality is important. I've heard many people say that for good prints
you really need to go to a pro lab and have them done. My alternatives
are as follows:
Chromagenic versus B & W?10 May 2004 11:28 GMT3
What's the consensus (if there is one) on chromagenic B & W film e.g.
XP2 versus traditional B & W?
I'd like to shoot some more black and white and the costs don't seem
that different - an extra couple of pounds or so for the B & W
