Howdy
Any kind folks able to provide a reasonable figure for UK import duty on
a decent lens? I'm looking at a Canon EF70-200 f2.8 L IS USM, which
retails here in the UK for around ?1400, but in the States at $1600,

Why do lens aperture's have a variable maximum aperture?
I have a Canon EOS 300 with 28-90 4/5.6 USM lens, and as much as I know how
to use it well enough, I've never really got to know why I m able to set the
aperture to f4.0, and sometimes the biggest is f5.6?

Can anyone recommend one with no delay? I have used my partner's and can't
tolerate not knowing when the picture was taken. I have several pictures of

The plastic 'Self Timer/Exposure Lock' lever on my Nikon FE2 broke at

Can anyone tell me of anywhere in East Anglia that currently has the Nikon
D70 in stock, Jessops here in Cambridge have said they currently have over
1000 on back order and no where else had it either, most stating that it
will be 4 weeks wait.
