Exposure Meter / Battery correlation?26 May 2004 10:56 GMT3
I have an old Canon FTb which when new took a 1.3V battery for its exposure
meter. The current battery in its size (PX625) is 1.5V. Does anyone know how
this will affect the metering?

Fuji Finepix S602 Query25 May 2004 23:55 GMT5
Is it normal for the Fuji Finepix S602Z to run down a freshly charged set of
Ni MH batteries in about 10 days or so when it is sitting on the shelf
turned off?
It does say in the book to remove the batteries if not using for a long
Foster and Skeffington25 May 2004 19:57 GMT3
I have some photographs taken during motorsport events in the 1960's and
70's by Foster and Skeffington of Hereford (I think). I would like to
display them on a web site, but though it would be a good idea to get
permission first (they are copyright material).

Anyone interested in the creation of a discussion group for the above

An old school photo.25 May 2004 09:47 GMT9
I have an old school photograph which was taken with a panning camera
resulting in a very long narrow strip.
I tried Jessops and Boots to get a copy made but they refused on the
ground that it was copyright.

I've got one of these old video cameras, it takes a full-size
VHS tape. Has anyone got any tips on usage? Is it likely to be
a reasonable machine? I'm short of a manual, so I don't really
know how it works - any pointers to on-line resources (or offers

I have a lot of Olympus lenses and was waiting for Olympus to bring
out a DSLR ... and they did but it has a new lens mount!
So I want to buy a DSLR, but don't want to spend excessive amount
while the hardware is developing so quickly. It has come down to the

I've done something unspeakable to a roll of Ilford Delta 100. I suspect
it's something I've done in the wash because it was left in for several
hours.
If anyone has seen something like this...
least expensive professional quality lab?24 May 2004 10:34 GMT1
Do you recommend any reliable, professional quality lab?
Image quality matters. What's the least expensive good one
(considering i may be shooting regularly and costs can build up)? by
post (mail) is perhaps preferable.

Recommend a history of photographers?23 May 2004 22:51 GMT6
I've been googling, but to no avail. I'm trying to find a
book which illustrates the history of photography through
the work of photographers. Not a technical history as such,
but one giving examples of the major photographers over the
