I have 200 quid to spend on a digi camera and would like advice on which offers best value for money...I read the mags and the reviews I see in them usually contradict each other so I would rather get unbiased advice from users....

I have been visiting computer fairs and seen the aggressive marketing by Black Diamond for their ink cartridges and inkjet paper. At the shows they continously run 3-4 printers churning out very high quality glossy photos which impress everybody.

After many busy years I now have the time and inclination to take some photos. I've dabbled with digital but feel more at home with film. On a limited budget I can make a start with an OM10 or with the Yashica FX7. I will probably end up spending money on lenses and ISTR that

anyone know the law of taking photos of oil rigs? are they the same as buildings as far as the law is. as i understand, as long as there are no 'no photography' signs on display ... then i would be able to take picture of which the copyright is mine.

A mate has today exchanged his new digital camera for the FIFTH TIME because it has dead areas either on the screen or on the CCD (and hence on the final print). He's tried three Fuji A-sommat or others and a couple of Canon's of similar spec.
