Good slide processing and CD-burning at reasonable prices?16 Jan 2004 22:57 GMT2
Can anyone recommend a good film lab for E-6 processing? I have 9 rolls of
E-6 from a recent trip - usually I get Peak Imaging to do the work but I
haven't had such a bulk of film in one go before. Their prices for
developing & mounting are reasonable, but I'm facing ?22 per film ...
Dry Mounting Silicone Release Paper - alternatives?16 Jan 2004 14:20 GMT1
Any ideas where I can get a few sheets of Silicon Release Paper from?
I don't need a large roll which is what appears to be on offer from most
suppliers, or what can I use as an alternative?
Thanks.
Cleaning Old Transparencies15 Jan 2004 16:33 GMT7
I have quite a large collection of transparencies which I am hoping to
digitise.
On blowing up some of the older ones (25-30+ years old - mainly Kodachrome
25/64) they appear to have small speckles like dust, however this does not
digital recommendations?15 Jan 2004 13:11 GMT3
I'm going backpacking in India for 2 months in March.  I dont want to lug
around my EOS5 and lenses but I do want to take a camera with me.  I can
probably get 500 quid approved by the holder of the purse strings for a
digital number, but until last weekend had no idea what I wanted ...
Online Photo Album ?15 Jan 2004 10:13 GMT10
I'm new here so please forgive me if this is not the right group for my
question.
A friend wants to set up an online photo album for her new grandchild. She was
wondering about putting up a web site, but maybe it's easier for her (she's not
Gossen Lunasix 3 Light meter14 Jan 2004 15:43 GMT1
I was about to sell my little used Lunasix 3 when I noticed that the
indicator rings were moving independently of the dial. I'm hoping that the
cause is fairly obvious once I get the ring apart. Which brings me to my
question. Has anybody ever taken one of these apart?  What is the ...

I wonder if anyone can help me? I'm a medic first and a photographer
second. What I want is to be able to look at back-lit photographic
negatives (actually hospital x-ray films), magnified, and take
measurements for distances down to 0.1mm accuracy. On TV the other
Darkroom setup help needed13 Jan 2004 18:26 GMT21
Having just moved house, to a more scenic (and northern) region, I have
thought of taking up some of the more traditional photography again (as
opposed to digital). So, I need to start a darkroom off from scratch
here.
Windows problem with Photoshop 713 Jan 2004 18:04 GMT6
I hope someone can help me.
I am having serious problems with Photoshop 7. Program loads up ok, then
after 20 or so seconds it shuts down. I have had the program loaded for over
a year and never had any trouble until now. Any suggestions.
B & W PROCESSING11 Jan 2004 14:58 GMT4
Anybody have any advice to give on getting B & W film processed.  I've just
paid ?7.49 (somehow I feel cheated) to have a High Street store send it away
for processing.  There must be someone out there doing it cheaper and
better.  Don't mind mail order, don't mind high street and I ...
Which printer for 10D?11 Jan 2004 13:46 GMT11
I have a Canon EOS 10D with 100mm F/2 USM lens, 50mm f/1.4 USM and a crappy
35-135 EF USM lens. I shoot mainly portraits and need a decent photo
printer. I am thinking of getting the HP 5150 with the optional photo
cartridge.
