Canon repair shop in midlands? or parts?08 Nov 2003 13:14 GMT1
I have an AE-1 that has served me well for the last 20+ years. Recently it
has started to show (understandable) signs of age - the battery door has
cracked and broken for one.
Anyone know of a good quality / good value Canon repairer in the Midlands?
Photo album sites - any recommendations?07 Nov 2003 18:16 GMT3
Hi there. I've decided that now my girlfriend and I both have broadband
connections, and the fact that she never gets to see most of the photos I
shoot (I only print about 1%) I'd like to upload lots of them to the web.
Any recommendations for sites to store them. I would want a ...

Good place for reviews of older SLR cameras?07 Nov 2003 09:10 GMT2
Is there somewhere I can go and read about the relative pro's and con's of
older SLR's? I don't mean really old but perhaps up to 20 years old or so?
All the sites I seem to find are reviews for current models.
Any guidance much appreciated,

I have just had some films developed at Boots, and had them copy the

This is more compressed than I would like!

Rollei XF35 Metering05 Nov 2003 18:31 GMT2
Just got myself a rollei XF 35 Rangefinder. Wondering if there's an online
manual somewhere.
Also, is since I'm not using mercury 1.35V batteries to power the light
meter, would the 1.5V alkalines distort the light readings?

New to buying digital products, & just wondered if anyone
had tried the 256MB CF card from 7Day Shop. Any problems?
I also notice the price on the Canon NB-1L Equivalent

Cokin Filter Boxes04 Nov 2003 14:26 GMT1
Anyoe else noticed that Cokin are no longer putting white lettering of their
filter boxes?  The writing used to go along the top edge in white, with the
code, what the filter is and even the exposure increase.  I bought one today
and it had nothing on it, except a fancy raised Cokin ...
Have enthusiasm and cash, need camera.04 Nov 2003 09:39 GMT4
It will be my first 35mm SLR (and it's not my money) so I need to choose
wisely. I am thinking of the Nikon N80 though thoughts of the Minolta Dynax
5 and especially the Canon Elan 7 are not entirely banished from my
indecisive mind.

Help Me Spend My Money.....03 Nov 2003 15:01 GMT2
Regulars here may well remember that a few weeks ago I was fretting over the
best deal to go for on a new Dynax 5.  Well, I now have the camera, 28-110
and 70-300 Lenses and I'm about to start shopping for other bits and pieces.
I'm interested mainly in travel photography, candid ...
