Can i save a scanned image to jpeg at 48bit colour depth ?, the reason i ask this is that i have just bought a scanner (PB Diamond 1200 Plus) and it says it will scan at 48bit colour, however, that option is greyed out when i scan. The only way i can get it to scan at 48bit colour ...

I've got some wedding pictures that I need developing and printing and I've looked at Peak Imaging and Lab 35 Imaging - has anybody got any experience of the these two labs i.e which will give me the 'best' results. Cost really isn't an issue.
