Am I mistaken, or does the 16x9 example appear to be at a different

I took several photos in the Valley of Fire, located about an hours
drive from Las Vegas, NV. The weather was very overcast.
Some of the photos show the vivid reds and oranges of the sandstone,
yet in others, they seem to have a blue tinge to them.
