I am considering the purchase of a Fujifilm E550 camera after the holidays and would like to find out what recent purchasers have to say about the performance of this camera.

I happened to stumble onto my Xmas gift from the wife and it's a Sony DSC-P93A. Since I saw it she wants me to decide if it's what I really want and if not, to swap it tomorrow. I've had a Canon PowerShot A20 for years and had decent luck with it, but the close-ups aren't so hot ...

This is a reply to previous poster (couldn't respond to his message.) He had trouble with a new sandisk 512 compact flash card in his Sandisk Imagemate dual card reader # SDDR-75. IT ALSO HAPPENED TO ME! I just bought a 512 compact flash card. I've been using the SDDR-75

Hi I will be travelling to Florida from the UK soon & was thinking of buying a fairly basic digital camera over there. Apart from possible warranty problems can any of you good folks think of any reasons why this might be a bad idea?

| Date Stamp on Photos? | 19 Dec 2004 01:52 GMT | 8 |
Do any of the digital cameras put a date on the picture? Or is this a function of the printer or software? I'm looking at the Cannon S1 IS or maybe a Kodak 6590 (might have the wrong model on the Kodak).

| Kingston flashcards | 18 Dec 2004 11:52 GMT | 2 |
I note that flash memory cards made by Kingston are being sold on some web-sites at prices considerably lower than Sandisk, et al. Is there any reason for this? Anyone use them and had any problems? Kev

| Nikon D100 - pictures dark | 17 Dec 2004 23:13 GMT | 4 |
I have a Nikon D100 digital camera. The pictures I'm taking inside come out dark even when using the built-in flash. I also have a flash attachment that I use which definitely helps but the flash doesn't keep up with the camera. I've messed around with the white balance but ...

| Bell+Howell 10.0 Mega Pixel Digital Camera | 16 Dec 2004 03:51 GMT | 8 |
I saw an advertisement for this camera in a news magazine. I have seen some TV adds from this company and they claim to have been around for years and their name is familiar, but I haven't bought or owned anything they've made. Note that I am aware of anyway.

| How Rugged are Digital Cameras | 15 Dec 2004 07:44 GMT | 3 |
I'd like to get a digital camera for outdoor use, but I don't know how "ruuged" they are, particularly, how sucseptible they are to occasional water spray or exposure to a few rain drops (not immersion, or constant exposure to a down pour - more like a few drops hitting the camera ...

| storage medium | 14 Dec 2004 16:55 GMT | 2 |
I have an Olympus c-2100uz and find that even though I am still trying to learn how to use it, the storage medium it uses, the Smart Memory card, is being phased out. Olympus says that the camera will not be able to make use of any other storage card. Is this the way it all is ...

I am about to buy a very small compact camera. After extensive research on the web the Canon SD300 (Ixus 40 in France) seems a very good choice. However I wonder if it works well in low light condition without flash

| OK, got my new digicam, here's another question | 12 Dec 2004 13:21 GMT | 3 |
My Olympus 770 has a 16mb xD card. I plan on getting a 512 card. Going online, I see there's equivalent cards made by different manufacturers? Will a Fuji xD fit mine? Is there an advantage to getting an Olympus xD card?

| Water resistance? | 12 Dec 2004 04:51 GMT | 1 |
Ok, so Olympus has a few weatherproof digitals, but how much of a problem is the occasional rain drop or water splash on a digital camera. Are these things extremely finicky about staying desert dry? I'm thinking about the sony DSC-W1, Olympus C-7000, Powershot S70, and Panasonic ...
