Well, I've finally decided to attempt making my very own old-style wooden
box camera.
Having thought about this for quite awhile, I've got some ideas I definately
want to incorporate into my end design....

I am familiar with the simple definition for aspect ratio being the ratio
between the width and the height of a picture. For example the ratio for the
wide screen HDTV is 16:9. So why is it referred to as 16:9 instead of
1.78:1? Is that just to reduce each side of the ratio so that ...

Can any brands of softboxes share their speedrings?
I already have one brand of softbox and speedring (photoflex), just
wondering if I should stick to the same brand.

I am buying a canon 50mm mark 1 lens and was wandering if anyone knows
whether the optical quality is as good as the mark 2
or if there is a website with a comparison test
