I have an old 35 mm camera with a threaded hole in the top of the shutter
button which I assume is for some sort of remote shutter control. I would
like to make a simple device out of stiff wire and rubber bands or
something to take a couple of photos with a remote shutter control ...

After recently aquiring Minolta's Dimage Scan Dual III film scanner,
I've been able to post more pics on my gallery page.  The executive
summary is that it's an awesome deal, and scans quite well.  I'll soon
be writing a review on it, so check back in a bit...

Online Learning?
Does anyone know of any online learning for photography. I am mostly looking
for the technical aspect of things. Back to basics kind of stuff.

After some searching for a backdrop supplier I found the Canfield
studios site. Anyone bought one of their backdrops?  I think I might
get one of the in stock specials. They run small, but the prices are

I apologies for a stupid questions. I used to have only cheap tripods.
Last week I bought 3001 Pro and I was simply amazed. However, there is
one thing that confuses me. There is nothing that locks the legs and
prevents them from moving toward the center column. How do I make sure

the projection bulb. It was a plano-convex type lense with an
approximate diameter of 1-3/4". Does anyone know what the spec
