Got grandpa's old SLR here, intend to use it this weekend. It's a quarter-plate camera with a 120 roll-film back, and I'm hoping for some help. Last time I used it was about 20 years ago, and I developed the roll myself.

Let me preface this by saying I know I can probably find what i need with a google search and a few hours, but I'm hoping to speed it up a little I'm getting back into photography and I am playing around with a scanner and PS instead of traditional wet printing.

I'm debating ine of these systems for portraits and landscape work, and would like any first-hand input as to the pros and cons of either system. Particulary in regards to lens quality and durability of the cameras. thanks

I am looking at getting some gear from KEH, but was wondering about their rating systems. Has anyone gotten stuff rated as "bargain" before? If so, what could I expect? I am thinking of lenses, so I am a little leary. thanks

I'm thinking of a technology retrograde and buying an old Hasselblad 500c/el (always wanted one), but I'm pretty clueless about running costs for medium format. Can someone give me an idea of : 1/ film costs by type(b/w, colour, slide) - I'm assuming max 12 shots at

hi, i want to check my Rolleiflex TLR's shutter condition. i am sure the 1/60 is slower than 1/125 and 1/30 is shlower than 1/60. by these evidences, can i ensure that some of most often used shutter speed ( 1/8, 1/15, 1/30, 1/60, 1/125 ) are accurate?

my first foray into MF: I've picked up a Zeiss Ikon Ikonta (at last one for my vintage collection that uses film I can get!) I'll get a film and run it through it, but does anyone have any experience with one of these things? Any tips on getting the best out of it.

i am looking for suggestions about camera bag. do you often carry out your tripod? i want to do so and hence need a camera bag for the job. my tripod is a manfrotto 190Pro which is 56cm heigth and 1.9kg, the tripod head is tree-way and i don't remember how weight it is.
