I admit to not following trends in the art world.  But I have been intrigued
by the prices fetched by some items featured on the PBS series "Antiques
Roadshow."  And I have noticed that, aside from scarcity, the major factor

It seems that way to me with the very high resolution colour and B&W
films being discontinued and replaced with "better" ones with only half
the resolution. It seems to me that film is fading away and getting
worse to go down to the level of digital.
